This is what I’ve been posting and even talked with @DMoney about on the podcast. This offense is built to whatever the strengths are of the team. SD leans more in the run game most years when he has better backs or a less talented qb. Last year he lost the stud rb so he put the offense on the qb’s right arm. Passing at a much higher rate than previous years. Tune was an older guy that was talented enough to handle that. Dawson also used Tune’s legs more than the previous year to still get rush attempts to keep some remnants of balance.

At the end of the day Dawson wants to run the ball and history proves that , but this year I’d expect more 2022 Houston with Tune because of the talent we have at qb with TVD.

The biggest positive I‘ve taken from this hire and these comments by Mario is he gets you need to be really good at both running and passing. Not leaning heavy on the run and having a pass game built off the run. If the run game has to be put up the route concepts and pass game can’t handle all that pressure. Everything is based off that run action Including slower developing , deeper routes with more basic concepts. This is an actual balanced offense. You can lean on one or the other if need be.
