I told my boy as soon as I Heard Aaron Glenn speak that his Jets had a corch. Some guys it’s easy to see, just give them a mic and they will say some bs that doesn’t make sense. Or you will be able to see if they are a used car salesman.
Golden had his pillars
Diaz had his act out and bring beers to a camp
Shannon had his take player jersey names off bs
Coker’s clap bs and not a leader
I mean the list goes on, give me someone professional that knows wtf they are doing and demands respect who recruits love. That can hire a staff to do the X and os and be a good identifier of up and coming staffers
And the guys I mentioned above will lose locker rooms quickly. And the media won’t report it really especially if it’s super early in their tenure. Those locker rooms don’t stand a chance
Mario's limitations are well known, game day coaching and adjustments.
His strengths are making changes when he gets it wrong, and using every available tool at his disposal when it comes to managing the roster. No gimmicks.
It is very hard to find a coach who can do both things well, so if you must choose, I'll take the guy who can stack the most 'chips and clean out the portal, accepting that it will drive me absolutely crazy on game day.
My opinion has changed a lot, because you can't sustainably "outscheme" everyone anymore. The talent is becoming too dispersed. You used to be able to stack your roster, and lock up kids from transferring. That isn't possible anymore.
