I’m with you it takes time to reach the end goal.

But it starts with doing what your supposed to. If you’re more talented than just about every team on your schedule, like we have been for years, you should beat them. You should also compete hard and like he said “be a team others don’t want to play”. We should win the Coastal every year. That’s a realistic starting point on the way to the ultimate goal. If we see some of the same old stuff and just make excuses for it, what are we really doing?

While I agree that going 5-3 in conference every year isn't going to cut it, the whole "you should beat every team you're more talented than" line just isn't how sports work. If that was the case, there would be multiple undefeated teams every year in college football and Alabama would never lose.
