Just because it was tweeted today doesn’t mean it was today. Might’ve been yesterday before the game.

No, but I do think Riley and Kelly are somewhat different examples.

Riley did not want OU to join the $EC. So, he bolted for U$C when the opportunity arose. Kelly is only interested in Kelly. He’s a dirtbag. He bailed on Cincinnati a week or so before the program’s biggest bowl in history. He bailed on ND on the cusp of a possible CFP berth. Neither U$C or L$U is trying to rebuild their reputation as a relevant program (despite a down period for U$C). Neither is hiring an AD at the same time.

I actually think Mario is considering more than himself. Contact over the past month or so is one thing. He had a job to perform, and family issues. Now the time has come to decide, and see what his dream job does for an AD and how they plan to fully support the program going forward.

I understand the frustration in waiting, I feel it as well.

Or It’s already a done deal and we’re not supposed to know about it yet. There are a lot of connected people saying it’s gonna happen or has happened. I’ll take their word over some random message board guy who thinks the world moves on his time.

Find the story about 2 GAs at Cincinnati who are now position coaches , I think in the upper midwest. They were invited to a dinner party by Kelly, but not as guests. They were told to shovel the driveway and park the guests cars. Neither have much love for him.

Interview with the kid that Mario was recruiting today:

Cristobal's coaching future was the main focus of Friday night's postgame press conference, and I asked Moss what he was told about the head coach's future. The Vegas product also mentioned how a lot has been inferred by the media about the coaching carousel, which can cloud what's really going on across the country.

"Just basically that I can definitely have confidence that coach [Cristobal] is going to be super loyal to the Oregon program. I can have confidence that Coach Cristobal is standing strong by the Oregon program," he said. "Miami still has tons of work to do in that regard so he’s not close to any decision with them or moving anywhere. He seems like he’s pretty set.

Ouch.
