Class not done
-Recruiting doesn’t stop cause of dead period
-Portal allows you to upgrade
-He likes the portal now
-Class is going to be off the charts

-Freshman will play if they are good
-Bowl practices started
-Entire team behind Brown at QB
-4 practices and 4 workouts ready for game
-Talked QB transfers everywhere. Solution is go get great players and keep stacking so it ultimately doesn’t matter who leaves
-portal class going well and he will keep hunting the portal for mature players in positions of need
—playoffs needed to be expanded awhile ago
-kids used to decommit from Miami all the time 7-8yrs ago but he prides himself on not having that unless he is upgrading and dropping guys
-it’s all becoming more like the nfl
 
Curious if there's a rule about coaches publicly talking about players in the portal like there is against publicly talking about players in high school?

It's the same rule. You can't name or offer specific hints everyone will be easily able to interpret until the guys are signed. Think back to when Richt was in charge and they would post the names of towns they would visit so we knew who exactly they were visiting. NCAA changed the rules soon after (we weren't the only ones doing it).

Due to technology, recruiting doesn't stop
Portal is exciting due to opportunity -- enhance yourself everywhere - coaching, players
Have to change your roster, make space - keeps them energized and moving
Class not done, surprises good and bad happen
Goal is consecutive top 10 classes - secret sauce is good recruiting, good coaching, good schemes
The best players will play - young, transfer - doesn't matter

Game:
Great opportunity for Brown. Top 10 defense.
4 practices and 4 workouts so far.
Cross training helps with players moving on: OL, Secondary, LBs

Transfer Portal QBs: (asked about talking to young guys on the roster, if you are portal hunting)
Go out and get great players that are great people --- could come in different forms
Value in the identification process - scouting
Portal in General: Veteran players where the team needs experience; going well

FSU/Playoffs/ACC: (did not kick over the desk and yell **** the Seminoles - sorry guys)
Playoff should have been expanded already
All for a system that allows you to play for it.
If we are going to be the most tough and physical sport in the world, you have to play for it
Look at how lower divisions do it

Higher Rate of Decommitments across the country than ever before
Takes pride in limiting that, and can usually tell what's up
Defections - move a guy to the transfer portal - fishing for bigger ones...

OT but has anyone seen even one picture of Guidry on the trail? Blount’s mom on twitter tagged a ton of defensive coaches the other day, no mention of the DC. Obviously don’t want him to leave but found it curious he’s not out there at all recruiting while Pata is.

Maybe he’s just not like that and focusing on the bowl game, but just wanted to check in and see if anyone else noticed that or has seen otherwise, maybe I missed evidence of it.
