Mario on Joe Rose Show Monday

If Jordan Miller leaves, Haye (or Moten) needs to make a leap. Perhaps both. Ideally, we also need to recruit a bigtime DT this year, I think. Those dudes take a couple years to mature into what we need. But, that's another topic.

Is Miller’s time not up after this season? I agree, either way. We need one of them next year to be a real contributor.

So what exactly is the status of Citizen & Chaney for anyone in the know?

It has been pretty widely commented on that Citizen is out for the year ... most likely ACL/MCL ... and Chaney 6-8 weeks. No official injury details from UM.

Man I been thinking the whole time when people bring up speed and deep threats that why can’t smith play a dorsett role for us. They are the same size and dorsett was primarily a outside wr here. Dorsett wasn’t running the entire route tree either but he was burning people deep
Not saying Smith Is slow but Dorsett looked like he was on another level. I think Ray Ray and Washington will be our best deep threat/big play options at WR soon as they step on the field.

Ehh, I agree somewhat but Dorsett was probably our last legit track burner. I think he ran track also here, 60m.. He probably has 10.5 100 m speed. I am not sure if he has that type of recorded speed and our guys dont run track anymore it seems.. But we can see if he can do those things.. Dorsett had crazy straightline speed.

No smith isn’t fast as dorsett. Dorsett ran a 4.33 40 and smith was like a 4.45 his senior year in hs

Dorsett definitely faster but smith was running 4.4s in high school
I think there are two kinds of speed track and on the field speed. Dalvin Cook ran a 4.45 at the combine and ran circles around people in college. Both Keyshawn and Brashard are fast but they haven't looked like gamebreakers yet.

He has one more year left. If he doesn't get a lot of snaps this year, I could see him bouncing. I don't think any of the DT's run out of eligibility after this year.

Smith isn’t that fast bro

With the early news that Gattis has been particularly focused on Brashard Smith doing the little things well, catching the ball and maintaining consistent effort. After evaluating the team’s talent Smith became Gattis’ project. I think he sees Smith as the perfect player to scheme mismatches for.
