Mario on Joe Rose Monday 11-14

Happy to hear him and Knighton have smoothed things over after his transfer portal rumors s few weeks ago.

It's an underrated strength of Mario's in my opinion. He can have tough and honest/accountable conversations with the players and still have them bought in without appeasing to their egos/entitlement.
Guy doesn't seem to lie which is big in conversations like this.

Did he actually say that or are you inferring that? Serious question, I can't listen here at work

i like how mario is honest about his expectations and provides feedback when they excel. refreshing to see. i also like that he didnt give up on rooster bc hes a talent we have to keep and play a lot when used correctly. obviously, fumbles are on him but im glad hes wokring on fixing it i hope.

He said he was happy that Knighton ran hard and didn't worry about fumbling. Said that he gives everyone a chance to prove themselves but wouldn't lower his standard just so people would get playing time. Having Knighton starting and playing the whole game shows that they're on the same page.

Wesley is now a starter. Kelly will get more reps. Doesn't give up on anyone but will not lower standards so someone can get playing time to stay. Kam studies film like crazy. Cooper is 350 with light feet and is only going to get better. Could tell the sidelines were different on Saturday. TVD is a maybe to get back this season. LT and Parrish look like they might play at Clemson.
Thanks Cliff

Thad I’m sure is gone to a USF or somewhere like that.

I also have wondered why he hasn’t played but his YPC even knowing he really only played against our **** competition early on he still has crappy stats.

I said that to my dad at the game. It was the first game in a while that the players seemed like they were engaged and wanted to be there. They didn't really get punched by GT to see how they would respond, so this weekend will be a good test, but they seemed more confident across the board. Maybe it was as simple as having the QB question more settled.

personally i think Jacurri's energy sparked the whole team... i think somebody else said it but "hope" is the ultimate energizer... the offense came out firing on all cylinders and put up 2 TDs in the first 3 drives.. there's no replacement for that... 11 plays 75 yards and then 14 plays 93 yards... those kind of drives can energize a team and change the dynamic of the whole game...

It's contagious. Brown sparked the energy on O, and then Kam did the same for the defense. This is why playcalling/coaching is so **** important. Bad calls can really kill your team's spirit as we all have seen.

I absolutely love the praise for Mario’s answers today versus the outrage for his answers after last week. Mario is the exact same person and coach he was last Monday and he gives very similar answers. Funny how winning cures everything for at least 6 days. Then we can go right back to ****ting on Mario when it suites us.

Newsflash, it is schizophrenic to hate/love/hate/love the same person depending on nothing more than the result of a football game. Let the guy coach and evaluate him at the end of it all
