Mario on Joe Rose: Hear a fake tough guy tell you to work hard

Even old *** nick saban who won nattys old school way changed and brought dudes in like Lane, sark etc because that’s what he knew needed to be done to stay ahead

We have a coach who wants to still play like it’s 1995 … we have one Oline guy who will get drafted in the 1st round he runs into stacked boxes like he’s got 5 and can dominate either way.

SCHEME!!! Use your talent you’ve acquired to be put in positions to succeed. Beck isn’t cam and he can’t make miracles happen… we can all agree that was a bad portal pick up but we can still win with him if he’s not expected to be Superman
I don't think Bell gets drafted in the first round. If you were referring to Cici, then despite what D$ has been saying, I don't see it. Cici hasn't exactly elevated his game this year

Either corches suck or Miami is being targeted.

No other explanation.

Over the last 4 years combined (Mario's tenure), Miami is ranked 119th out of 136 teams in penalty yards per game. Here's the 2024 playoff teams over the same 4 years:

Oregon: 55th
Georgia: 36th
Texas: 85th
Penn State: 14th
Notre Dame: 52nd
Ohio State: 12th
Tennessee: 131st
Indiana: 23rd
Boise State: 19th
SMU: 84th
Alabama: 67th
Arizona St: 86th

You don't think those same guys are investing because they want a championship at Miami?

Granted, their leashes/tolerance are probably longer than most of the fans.

But if we're 7 years in and Mario still hasn't won the ACC or a playoff berth and the Ad/president is ready for a change, obviously the rich boosters (Mas brothers and others) will have to be involved. You think they'll say to the school "nope you can't can't fire Mario or we won't invest anymore"?

At some point they'll also realize he's not the guy and if they want a championship at Miami, they'll need to make the same investment in somebody else and give them a chance.

Or do you think they don't care that much about bringing a championship back to Miami and really they just wanted to see Mario do it?

They didn’t really invest before.

They’re investing now.

I don’t know if they’ll still be willing to do it in the future.

were in year 4 with the best roster since the glory days and we arent going to sniff the playoffs or charlotte again. mario is never going to win here

He clearly learned nothing from Saban.
he learned recruiting and some roster building (recruiting departments, etc).

saban coaches defense..how much time do you really think he was working with mario?. lol

its the same when folks would talk about offense with belichik...like that mfer had nothing to do with what tom brady is doing.

So the Cuban mafia doesn’t care about Miami, they only care about Mario. They bet hundreds of millions of dollars on their friend who is an average at best coach, and when it fails they’re just out? For rich people they sound awfully stupid.
because its all bs.

the minute we win a big game or two those same mfers want their face around in this front running town.

i dont know how ppl who are really from miami keep saying this money gonna dry up thing...lol that was their way in with mario you already got him now you can quit with the fallacy.

South florida loves a winner..and aint only ppl that went to columbus that has money down here regardless sheesh.

just hire competency.

good...so then we will be on to the next. lol

We were being funded by Nevin Shapiro and landing recruits.... do you know how much nevin shapiros there are in north miami beach still? lol

Yall all sound like the same folks i argued with on here that were preaching and crying that NIL will be BAD for Miami...and that Bama would get better etc....lol within 2 years Saban quit because he couldnt work with nil and sec schools are firing coaches left n right because of it...**** most of those programs who were bag droppers for decades didnt even know how to set up their nil program for two plus years and we were on the ground running

He hasn’t the slightest clue how he is going to fix anything. Example, the penalty issues have been going on here forever, still isn’t fixed. He thought it was fixed in the Stanford game. Says it’s regressed back, has no clue why and obviously has no clue how to fix it because he hasn’t fixed it in 4 ******* years. He’s certainly not going to sit anyone on the OL, even after they destroy drive after drive.

If he hasn’t been able to fix that glaring and pretty simple issue, he is never going to. And he’s not fixing any other more difficult issues either.

You're not even making sense, so because Saban mostly coached defense, Mario didnt see what and how adjustments were made, and how Saban started to work smarter instead of harder? I lived in the same house as my dad, but because my dad worked night shift, I had no idea how he did things, or ran his house hold.

Bumpable post… oline aren’t **** easy positions to watch. He’s a true RT at the next level and maybe the Zach Martin line if he might be a better guard than tackle but can be a starter at either

If you stood Dan Campbell (lions) next to Mario, very similar meatheads, but it would like someone took all the stones and mojo and gave it to Dan.
