Mario on Joe Rose 9/26

No Monday coaches press conferences like normal. Maybe Mario is really hunkering down and wants to send clear and precise messages and changes ?

Either fix things, or don’t. It’s an overhaul. QB was good last year. Gattis needs to just get some simple, reliable concepts. He’s not going to out-corch people. Steele can’t coach like he has speed. Curtis needs to go to WR. His speed is wasted at DB. OL….blitzes happen. That’s on Gattis too. Option routes??? Blitzes is where Miami QB’s used to feast. You didn’t blitz Kodak, Walsh, Dorsey, or you paid.

Uh Huh Wow GIF by Bounce

He's right, you know.
We getting deep and dirty now.

Everybody, let's just put all out there.

Let's go.

Self reflection can be a good thing here. But he needs to face this music. If he took a step back for self reevaluation (himself, coaching staff, scheme, players, etc), I applaud that because one of the issues with being a straight shooter, is that sometimes things you say, can come across to the listeners in the wrong way and your message can be misinterpreted. Maybe he just wanna make sure he means what he says, and more importantly, saying what he means. He gets no mulligans here. If he just didn’t show up cause he’s butthurt, then that’s disappointing. He’s not the leader I thought he was. When you are the leader, a leader of men…. you have to face the negative as well as the positive. You gotta face this music man. You can’t hide, no matter how much you wanted to crawl under the turf on Saturday. Hopefully there was some mixup that led to him missing the interview. Hate to think that about Mario.
I wasn't at the game, but there was nothing about Mario's body-language that said he's a front-runner; like Nick Saban or Dana Holgersen going ape-**** at the first sign of adversity. The team ****ed the bed but Mario maintained his composure, kept coaching throughout, and then took responsibility in the post-game.

I'm not sure why he didn't do the interview this morning, but maybe there'll be clarity tomorrow.

I hope so.

If this man really loves the university like he says, he should eat the buy out and let us start fresh. We all know where this is going. No point in delaying the inevitable and letting us bleed out like all the past clown coaches. Just like Randy. Just like Al. Just like Manny.

But we know he won’t do that. Look what he did a few years back to us when Bama came calling.

Wouldn’t mind if he gave no interviews the remainder of the season, unless rules required them.

Like halftime sound bites for TV.
