Mario on Joe Rose 10/3

He did mention Luscious Stanley at RB which could signify that Parrish and Knighton are OUT

And he’s back.

No, he’s not saying anything that will make headlines. But I’m glad he’s not still hiding under a rock somewhere, even if he was pouring every fiber of his being into reforming the team. Sorry, optics matter.

Great questions from Joe didn’t hold back and Mario didn’t slide around the issues. Mario sounded a bit worn but that can change with a nice win in Saturday.
Worthless interview. Mario is a master of the art of saying nothing. Name one interesting thing he said? It’s all just “We have to get better,” “We have to be realistic and solve problems, not just find them” Nothing about injuries, wasn’t confronted on the starting QB, etc.

Not blaming Mario. He has a reason to keep things secret.

Joe lobs his questions.

Maybe the only thing to make note of is that Mario made sure to mention the transfer RB Stanley. Guess that means we’re not getting back Parrish and/or Knighton.

I ain’t miss schit. Y’all get too high and low off coaches interviews. Idc if he talks or not. All I care about is the results on the field. He said this same stuff after the game and it would have been the same coach speak last week.

What he say or dont say got nothin to dew with it! It was just his time is all!

He says the right stuff. Now implement it. What I want to see:
Skinner in the passing game
A scripted package for jacurri
More tempo - not lashlee quick but urgency

I’d rather the freshman struggle than Ivey or Flagg. By this I mean if someone’s gonna get burned let it be a freshman who can recover with speed. Put hands on their receivers.

I gotta see Wes and chase smith.
More frierson. Get Flagg and steed out.

Brashard on punt return exclusively.

If Keyshawn gets a reasonable catch location bring the kick out every time.

And finally - TVD on a short leash

all dis, right here....

I don't think this is the game to do this. We don't want to get into a basketball game like shoot out with UNC. Not that we could even keep up. Best defense is to control the game clock and keep their offense off the field while wearing out their defense.

This actually might be a game where a Gattis plodding but efficient offense helps more than hinders. All that said we need to improve our red zone offense. Field goals are not going to cut it.
