Mario now blaming the media

You do realize that three out of the 5 years he coached Oregon they were top 25 in total offense? He took over a team that went 4-8 2 years before he got there and went 9-4 his first year, 12-2 his second, 4-3(covid year doesn't really count) and 10-4. Do you just spew things with the hope people will just believe you?
they won 7 the year before w Taggart as the coach. he did improve Oregon. he wasn't a good offensive coach. Oregons offense in PPG has already surpassed anything Mario has done there. Also, if 4-3 covid year doenst count then his second pac 12 title doesn't count either so I dont want to see that he won 2 titles in the pac 12 bc the covid year doesn't count or is the record that doesn't count bc he got covided into the game?

Fine then don't count his second title but you can't dismiss that he won the conference his second year as coach and made it to the conference championship again last year. Might I remind you The canes have never won or played for the ACC title. I'd take Mario's results.

You guys can keep nitpicking all you want and finding little things to point out. The fact is, the guy has been successful at the highest level of college football as a HC. You may not like him for whatever reason or have wanted someone else instead but you can't say he hasn't been successful in the big boy league.

I said he did well there lol. we did play for an acc title w richt

You didn't say he did well there. You said he improved them.
I have said a bunch of times on here that he did well there. you can find the posts. they are out there. he also did not do somethings well such as offense which was my concern w his hiring. lanning w dillingham has had an overnight improvement and this is compared to all his teams at Oregon

3 of his 5 years at Oregon his offense was top 25. If we are in agreement the covid year doesn't count, it's 3 of 4 years in the top 25 in total offense. Not sure why you would complain about that.

my biggest issue w Mario and his top 25 offenses were that he only scored over 40+ points 12 times since 2018 (which for me is the biggest sign that your offense can actually succeed bc we can put up calorie yards and we fail to score). Oregon has done it six straight times this year immediately once Mario leaves. theyre likely to continue that going forward. you gotta put up points and Mario has always had a huge talent advantage thanks to his recruiting at Oregon where he should've done more w the offense. again, thats my issue. he doesn't score enough. you see that right now w our offense. I think Mario did a fine job at Oregon as an HC. he won a pac 12 title and got guys drafted. he also won a rose bowl. he also under performed imo with a top 10 QB and never got the most out of his offenses. it was my biggest question mark when he got hired. it continues to be a HUGE issue right now. we didnt score much when we were healthy thanks to lack of adjustments and horrific RZ play calling. we dont score enough now that were injured. you just aren't winning many football games scoring 35 (really 40) imo esp in modern CFB and esp where you generally have a huge talent adv vs your opponent more often than not (esp here).

I will agree with you on this. I definitely want to see us scoring more points. Mario is a pretty smart guy and knows he needs to score a lot more. Hopefully he is able to instill enough changes to achieve that.

well I know hes smart. hes not an idiot. I just think he thinks you can only win a certain way. it kinda comes off in his quotes. again, it doesn't mean he can't win that way and there are multiple ways to do things. id rather have him break down what went wrong vs just shouting toughness bull**** quotes like al golden. if he can completely give up control on offense and zero insight into who the OC can bring with him here along w schematic changes to the pace and tempo, I think we can win w the talent acquisition that makes Mario worth the 80 mill. hes a great OL coach but no OL coach on earth is worth 80 mill lol.

Barry at work again: Feels the need to quote Keyshawn Smith's mother, identifying her, as the focus of a paragraph.. SMH

So, a player runs back to mommy to complain about a coach talking bad about he and his teammates . . . and momma is stupid enough to post it on social media. Are you serious? These soft-***, entitled, catered-to prima donnas are why you have a fragile cast of characters that fall apart at the first sign of adversity on Saturdays. Very telling.
