Need to stop handcuffing our OC.

Notre Dame should’ve been a 14 point win. Florida should’ve been game over in the 1st half. FSU should’ve been 28+ point win.

For someone who preaches what he does you’d assume he’d want total domination from start to finish. The early games were a warning and we never learned. You cannot go conservative you lose.

Seems like our OC is being forced to call games away from his philosophy.

Think there’s a clear disconnect between him and Mario/Mirabal.

If you hired him to run the offense let him run the offense. Mirabal’s job is to coach the offensive line according to Dawson’s offensive scheme.

Dawson should not be adjusting his scheme to fit Mirabal’s idea of a “run game” and offensive line. It’s backwards and that’s why the offense is suffering.

I will agree that Mirabol and Dawson need to collaborate to get the OL to execute Dawson’s calls.

But I still insist, Dawson designs and calls the plays. Period. Dawson is the guy that puts all 11 in a phone booth on 4th and 1.

Mario surely tells Dawson he wants a balanced offense. I’m sure he tells him he wants to run a lot of duo.

Mario and Mirabol don’t tell Dawson to throw a hundred wr screens a game. They don’t tell Dawson that after every big completion we need to run hurry up and pound the back into the centers ***. They don’t tell him he needs to run 12 personnel formations when we don’t have a single TE who deserves playing time.

The head coach always gets the credit and the blame. I get it.

In my opinion Dawson is colon cancer.

when they get rid of dawson and the offense still looks the same, you'll see why soon enough.

The style probably won’t change considerably. The way Mario recruits OL and rb indicates a desire for a power run game.

But what plays are called when will change. And running different plays out of similar looks will hopefully change.

I’m retarded and when watching on tv I can guess the play call 60+% of the time- often without even seeing personnel and formation. That’s Dawson.

Makes sense. Gattis has been awesome calling plays in Maryland btw.

So I’m to believe Mario hires an OC and sits him down and says you will call these plays in these formations at this time of the game? That’s not realistic in any way.

People hate Mario for some reason. I don’t.

If Mario is responsible for the play calls why didn’t Dawson take the rice job? Unless he’s retarded he had to know the offense would regress this year without ca m? Right?

Dawson is so dumb he puts a wrinkle in- like last week running Toney in jet motion to dive Fletcher at least 3x maybe 4 or 5. That was one of the times we got stuffed on 4th down. Then he forgets about it and we never see it again. He calls plays like a 7th grader. His incompetence was covered up by cam basically calling his own game.
