Mario will be 100% to blame if he keeps forcing him out there and it will certainly begin to highlight the points you bring up as an unfortunate norm.

There aren’t enough strikes to have any effect on him in season one (nor should there be)……and the real issue is to evaluate what he can do with a program that was broken when he came in. There is no sugar coating what happened today but the real issue is what he does about it.

Lol, Manny had no resume as a head coach prior to that horrific hire and had no business being in that position. I’m fine with being ****ed about today but there is no comparison between those two or the reasons why they were hired.

Mario wasn’t average at Oregon…….again he may not be your guy and there is a good possibility the powers that be were too short sighted in considering the man to lay out their plan (that seems to be the Miami Way), but it wasn’t because he didn’t have the ability to rebuild a program.

he wasn't elite. we paid him elite money. he was above average. hes a great recruiter elite actually. hes a bone headed game day coach that can't manage a clock or game and has a **** tactic offensive scheme. this isnt Oregon anymore. **** just got real w the mtsu loss

It’s not Oregon anymore, the measuring stick is NCs, and Mario knows that better than anyone on this board. If he’s going to achieve the type of success expected to prove he was the right fit he’ll have to be a CEO type that re-builds this roster and hires the right staff around him (and be willing to give them to autonomy to work and adapt to the game).

Most people know this the same way they should know it’s going to take at least 2-3 years to get to that point.

im just asking to look competent against really bad g5 teams. we didnt play anyone good outside of ATM. we've looked putrid in all of them. we haven't looked well coached once. even the ATM game were making bone headed mistakes

The kids realized that A&M was TOTALLY beatable, but Mario wanted to drain the clock and keep it close with this style of offense to “save face”. Guys…we either have a stubborn, meat head of a coach or we have an arrogant, incompetent coach whose incapable of making adjustments, but will blame the kids for not executing his offense. Either way, we are TOTALLY fucced. And these kids have quit on him and his hypocritical slogans. FML…

So how much talent do we need to be able to not get curb stomped by a G5 team with 0 and 1 star players at home? A team full of 5-Stars? Your argument makes zero sense.

were so far away from a title. im not even talking about that. were not even coastal good right now. we will never recruit like Bama so it wont be quick to become elite like it was for Bama. Also, Saban is 10000x the coach Mario is overall

And that’s fair…………the real issue will be what is done about it. **** I predicted 9-3 knowing our recent past and that looks like a pipe dream at this point.

Are we looking better at the end of the year than we did at the beginning?? Are proactive changes being made where they can be instead of bullish stubborn behavior week after week? Are we still recruiting at a high level in December regardless of struggles on the field this year? ****…..how do we look after a ******* bye week??

I’m as ****ed about today as anyone, but I’m willing to give some benefit of the doubt to see what happens at this point.

It makes no sense to you cause you clearly don’t understand my point. I’m not making any excuses for what happened this weekend, nor should anyone else.

thats fair. were more likely a 7-5 team again or worse depending on injuries. I dont see us beating UNC w how they score. I dont see us beating FSU sadly. thats 4 losses. well lose another 1-2 we shouldn't in conf play

We been going for it on every 4th down…..and failing.

Mario will be fine if he makes the right moves.

Jake needs to start. The information creeping out about TVD is the type of thing that goes a long way to explaining the complete ineptness of the offense. At least you have a chance to rally around the guy the players respect.

He needs to get on Gattis and Steele’s asses about situational play calling. Gattis should be on a ten game audition for his job. Steele just needs to mix his coverage a little better.

This start may be a blessing in disguise and force Mario to examine his offensive philosophy. Total embarrassment. No way to get around it.
