J.D. Pickell has Pitt playing us in the ACC title game so he could be onto something. Virginia Tech won’t be good enough to beat us this year, but I’d watch out in 2027 and beyond. That is, if James Franklin can learn how to actually win a big time game.

Pitt is one of the games that least worries me on the schedule. With all the talking Pitt has done this offseason, I'm the players will be ready and I'm sure Mario will be okay scoring consistently until the clock hits zero.

The ACC game that concerns me is Clemson, but Mario will have the boys ready for that big game.

I don't think this team with guys like Fletch, Mali, Moten, and Toure leading their units will allow for anyone to look past an opponent. The players seem to be so narrowly focused on what they have a chance to do this season, and those four guys were there in Dallas last year when SMU beat us.

There's also the constant threat of Bain only being a manageable 3.5 hour drive away to reinforce the culture and expectations if his daily text messages aren't getting the job done (I'm half-kidding on this one).
