This is why I was skeptical on the whole Mario hire. Every coach is going to have their bad losses from time to time unless your name is Nick Saban. But Mario doesn't really move the bar for me as the type of coach that would succeed at Miami.

Mario is a bagman. Its basically 50% of the job of a position coach, and hes really good at being that facilitator.

Listen you’re going to just have to take a chance on a guy. Only Saban doesn’t lose games he’s suppose to win and if he does, it’s never a blow out. No candidate will be perfect

Hangover after a very tough loss to Wazzu.
Wazzu is for real this year. In what would be a let down loss to Stanford...Minshew and the boys rallied late to beat the Tree. Was impressed.
They'll get destroyed if they play a real team in the ACC, B1G, or SEC, but in conference...they've been great. Pac12 is very weak this year, but still.

Because nobody has in place a system that allows them to cheat as effectively as Saban

Why would Miami have to take a chance on Wario? Bc he is played football at Miami during the dynasty days? Is that his qualifications?

Even Saban’s got a hemorrhoid pillows
under his butt so he can succeed. I think you go with a guy that has the “It” factor and then grease his wheels well. This means the BoTs have to be competent enough to either recognize this, or pay someone who can spot this. This may also mean a new no-nonsense AD. Just for starters.
