Mario Cristobal

Cristobal could've stayed. Didn't. Not that I blame him, but that tossed his "Miami guy" cred - which is all he had going for him.

I'm hoping Richt gets canned. Would be stupid move by UGA, but they've always had delusions of grandeur.

Why do faqgits keep bringing this loser up? He's a Mexican Folden.

Seriously dude do you have to attack every single poster?

Is you life really that pathetic? Do you attack the bag boy as well or even old lady crossing guards.

If you don't like the thread then keep out, you dont have to post.

You have 14K posts and 90% of them are just to call people names.

Props... job well done... people literally hate you are pray you die a slow and painful death.

I seriously hope you don't have kids or a wife. If you do please let us know your address so we can get the 5.0 to get them out of there alive.

You're calling another person's life pathetic in the same post where you tell someone on a message board that people hope and pray they die a slow and painful death.

Holy s***

Your right dude that was harsh but why people want to get on cyber fights with every single post is beyond me. Every single Miami site is littered with Aholes that take over every single thread. It makes our fan base look like complete douch bags.

OP has a valid question. I see no reason to bash him. We are all supposed to be Miami fans unless your a troll.

There will ALWAYS be some extremely talented South Florida kids that would prefer to stay at home to go to college and play football. If our coaches could ever win games with the talent we have, we'd get a lot more of them.

If they hire Cristobal I would be done with the program.

Recruiting is like tenth on the list of qualities we need in a HC.

Really curious why you think recruiting is like 10th on our list, maybe you can elaborate?

Saban places it first. I think his blueprint has been pretty successful bringing back a team that lost its way.

We have more D1 teams recruiting in our back yards than any other program in the country.

And the concentration of talent in our area is the only real competitive advantage that we have over every other program in the country year in and year out.
So ****ing what?

Ron Zook was a **** of a recruiter who put lots of emphasis on it too.

Saban is successful because he's the best coach in the nation. Recruiting is a fraction of his responsibilities, maybe not 10th on our list, but it's just a portion. Recruiting good players doesn't mean **** if you can't do anything with them. See Miami for the past 12 years for evidence.

Saban will be the first to tell you he is not the best coach in the nation and he doesn't strive to be. he does strive to be the best recruiter and he says that the main reason he brought Alabama back. if you asked him where it ranks in their comeback he will tell you #1 .

I personally think our problem has been talent evaluation, football hating administration and coaching. Started with elmer. he only recruited off of recruiting sites star counts and gave no precedence to talent evaluation.

if I had coach tell me in an interview that he considered recruiting number 10 on his list of important things I would end the interview there.

No chance they hire him. They hired him already and he said F U. Right decision imo but he did none the less

Saban hires the best coaching staff in the country.

That is why he wins along with having great players.

Golden might have the worst coaching staff in the country.

If they hire Cristobal I would be done with the program.

In a weak division in the SEC, where Missouri has won it twice since joining. UGA hasn't won the SEC since 2003, with arguably the most inherent advantages of any school in the conference. Gtech is the only instate school that pulls BCS level recruits, and they almost never sign any of the prospects that UGA really wants.

Don't want!!!

Saban hires the best coaching staff in the country from an X's and O's perspective.

Kiffin
Smart
Napier
Cristobal
etc.

We have Paul Williams and Mark Dnofrio......

That staff can also recruit better than anyone.

Golden might have the worst coaching staff in the country.

If they hire Cristobal I would be done with the program.

There's plenty of talent in South Florida. We've had more than enough top 15 classes over the last 11 years of horror to produce results and we still haven't.

We need a coach. We need a guy that can run a tough program and knows how to coach football and implement a system that develops talent and then maximizes their strengths. Find a guy that can win games and identify talent and he'll have an easier time than he ever imagined recruiting kids to his program.

The last thing I want is another few years where we land top 15 classes only to watch 4 and 5 stars be wasted on the field because the staff is full of morons.

We don't need a recruiter we need a coach. You start playing exciting football and winning games in Miami and landing studs will be the least of your concerns.

Do the ***tards on this board realize that the assistant coaches do most of the recruiting?

You think Nick Saban vists these kids once and meets with them on the visit. You think he is up all night chatting on the phone with them?

Golden has to do more of the recruiting himself because he has a pitiful staff comprised of his buddies (Dnofrio and Williams) who are worthless in recruiting and nonanes like Ice Harris and Larry Scott.

Ice Harris can't even land the kids that play for his son at Booker T. How pathetic is that?

PS: Don't give me Mark Walton as an excuse for ICE. Walton would be a Cane if David Duke was the head coach.

I`m not not in favor of Mario being our next coach but I`m a little surprised at all the negative opinions of him. What he did when he was here was for betterment of his family. What would you have done???

Every year there are a handful of elite S Florida kids that are coming to Miami unless the head coach raped their mother.

Last year it was Jaquan Johnson and Mark Walton.

Golden lost 75% of the "other" battles last year for S Florida kids he wanted. They know he is a loser.

Besides Butch I'm having trouble of thinking of realistic proven HC

I wish they would give Butch a second chance but I don't see it happening

Mario brings nothing to the table other than "recruiting".

Never been a coordinator.

Just like Golden, you lose the recruiting advantage once the kids find out you can't coach.

Our next head coach needs to be a former offensive coordinator. Anything else will be a failure.

No conservative defensive guys, unless Saban wants the job :-)

How many titles did Butch win?

Did he ever win more than 8 games with that loaded UNC team?

No.

The legend of Butch continues....

Golden has actually been outstanding at talent evaluation.

He goes after the right kids every year but can't land them.

His first class had 7 kids drafted.

His problem is the complexity of his conservative archaic approach on gameday.

If they hire Cristobal I would be done with the program.
