ExactlyNot necessarily.
That's just what people convinced themselves.

lol these people who speak in absolutes are the dumbestMario isn't being fired ... not this year or next or the year after. The Columbus gang will keep their boy in there, but the fan base is going to decline significantly as far as game attendance. Life is short, there are too many things to do on a Saturday (+ travel day) for non Miami Dade County fans to travel, book hotels, flights, rental cars etc. Too bad ... not sure where this leaves the UM football program ... as an "also ran" and candidate for the B12 once the next realignment hits? Or basically a G5 program in a weak ACC after that. Glad I was around to experience the glory day games under Dennis and Butch.
lol wow that’s a garbage takeMario could lose the remaining games and go 0-12 next year and he’s safe. Don’t even start that stuff
Take? That’s not a take, that’s a fact. You’re high as a kite if you think Miami is paying that buyoutlol wow that’s a garbage take
You realize that you’re talking about after 2026 lol like people just blindly like wasting moneyTake? That’s not a take, that’s a fact. You’re high as a kite if you think Miami is paying that buyout
I heard him talk about it this morning. My first thought was -"did your players know your thought process BEFORE the play"? did anyone ever say to them "in this situation, we are going to call a quick time out after we see what formation they line up in?" doesn't sound like anyone other than Mario knew he was going to do that...14-14 in the ACC. Losses to Middle Tennessee State (I was there, at noon, hot as balls. Most miserable game I’ve ever been to).
Everything about the game day operations is abysmal.
I was just thinking about that play with Lightfoot and the late hit. A timeout was called by Mario on that 4th & 8. He said he called it because he wanted to see what the offense was coming out in formation wise. Do you think Heatherman needed a timeout there? No!!!! That was stupid Mario. To compound the error in judgement, because he’s so unsure of himself, he called the timeout super late. He could have called it earlier instead of treating it like a game winning FG situation. So he put his players in a situation to make that mistake.
The guy is a ******* idiot!!!
I would bet a lot of money that neither Heatherman nor the players knew that timeout was coming.I heard him talk about it this morning. The HC is the deficiency. Whether it is Randy with his stupid ******* doghouse. Or Golden and his dumb *** pillars. Or Richt with his nepotism. Or Manny with his down syndrome. Mario being a Neanderthal is just our most recent transgression. Why do we always end up with a HC that can't scheme around deficiencies? We passed on Lane in 2021 when he wanted to come here and we hired Mario. It’s amazing how bad we had to be to hire so many subpar coaches in a row. Coker, Shannon, Golden, richt, diaz, Mario. I mean its mind boggling that we couldn't manage the football program better than that. Not saying Mario cant change some of his ways moving forward but so far it doesn't look good.
I don't know what else to say. I am at a loss of words how bad this program has been the last 20 years and most of it is self inflicted.
No, I disagree actually think he has a chance of getting fired if he has a bad year next year anything below nine winsSo you agree with my “take” ? What’s your point exactly? My post said stop talking about firing that’s not an option even if he’s 0-12. Nowhere did I say I wanted him fired , I just stated a fact that rather triggered you or you want to debate over nothing …….
and its not liek we recruited LB any better post DiazI said it when Cristobal was hired- The marginal improvement in recruiting isn’t going to invalidate the lack of gameday coaching ability. It wasn’t much of an upgrade. Instead of paying Cristobal 5 million more per year, give that to Diaz for NIL and hiring a better staff. This isn’t a ringing endorsement for Diaz, just cold rational cost benefit analysis. We just got beat by the OC That Diaz hired. I think he would have brought in better recruiters to make up for his deficiencies. Even a generational qb like Ward wasn’t enough to make up for Cristobal’s coaching.
Ok Steve, let's assume his buyout right now is $30 million. Make some phone calls and see who wants to pony up more cash to remove him, then hire a new coach, while paying for facility improvements, and the occasional $4-6 million dollar mediocre-to-average quarterback.lol you don’t know that to be a fact but ok.
Season’s not over yet hypothetically he goes 4-0 you have a 10 win season. didn’t make the playoffs but it would beOk Steve, let's assume his buyout right now is $30 million. Why was the guy hired in the first place? Why has the school been so bad at hiring coaches?
