Mario has always been great at recruiting going back to FIU. And has always been good at finding underrated athletic guys that can ball in the right scheme.

He bailed on Al Golden....literally every cane fan on this planet bailed on Al Golden. I’m got over that after Golden was fired.

You don’t need bags for the Francois’,Heights’ and Greenes of the world. Mario probably locks those kids up no pressure.

He definitely wouldn’t be 6-6 with this roster. And our class is probably 10th-ish range.
 
Mario has also always been good at underperforming on game day. Just saying....

if Mario is the God of recruiting why did a 6-6 team end up with a better player average then a God?

I know about Oregon and Nike money. I'm saying even with that they never consistently brought in top 10 classes. Even at their best with Chip Kelly they had like one top 10 finish and they got caught up in that Willie Lyles fiasco. Like I said, the NCAA will look the other way for certain schools to just drop bags on everyone but Oregon isn't one of those schools.

Many of us aren't delusional, we are depressingly realistic and have watched the BOT and AD walk us directly into this Wake Forest/ Vandy developmental existence. The writing is on the wall when you are gifted a $16 million dollar buyout and you immediately go shopping for a discount.

Exactly I tried telling someone on here that yesterday. Oregon only landed a top 10 class once and it was last year under Mario at number 7.

This was Herberts best year. Two years ago Herbert wasn’t going against Burrow, Tua, and a renewed Hurts. There were some really good QBs this year and despite all of that he will still be a top 2 QB drafted and a first round pick.

Probably would do more than Manny.....thats not really saying much. Mario is backed by Nike money. he wouldnt have that here. Also he is not a good coach......guaranteed a bad loss every season.. Keep being happy with mediocrity cause that is all that Mario would bring

Going by rating Herberts best year was 2 years where he started generating NFL hype, but don't let facts get in the way

Huh what facts? He missed like 4 games 2 years ago from injury. His sophomore year. How was that his best year? He has enjoyed a career season in yards passing and tds. Plus this is the most games won by Oregon since 2014 plus a Rose Bowl invitation. He was receiving hype because Tua wasn’t playing and Burrow was on the pine at OSU. He still should have left and people questioned his decision. Mainly because Tua emerged last year. However, the kid is still going first round. You’re just exaggerating in an attempt to prove a point. He’s going to be one of the top 2 QBs selected.

Lol by far and away the two best players in our class play the same position. Ya, the class is par for the course when you’re a big 3 school, but it didn’t answer any question marks for the foreseeable future. What good are those elite rbs without a ******* O-line or an OC that only uses them in play action? Infusion of talent is not something you see here.
