Mario Cristobal: The Cuban Al Golden

I agree with everything except his recruiting being good just at Bama. He just signed a top 5 class at Oregon coming off an 8 win season. He would probably kill it down here in recruiting. Just not sure about the coaching part.

Sorry hit the wrong button as I was scrolling.

Last week, Romberg tweeted Mario would not be interested in the job if it became available.

We're going to need to root for Cristobal to turn us down....cause he's exactly the type of lazy hire our admins are going to jump all over.

He just convinced his star QB to come back for another season, even for a guy like Mario that would a dirt bag move at this juncture.

Yeah I’d hate to have a coach that could get star players to return. I love having coaches that can’t convince undrafted guys to stick around

You conveniently left out a coach who has a future #1 overall draft pick at QB and still managed to lose FOUR GAMES. Don't forget to mention a coach that Saban nudged out the door after he demoted him.

That’s some sound analysis. Somebody send that to James ASAP. Sold on no Mario Golden. Sounds like Babers, Campbell or Butch

I would sincerely hope that the BOT by now has learned their lesson.

Butch, Mario, Schiano, Stoops....it's time to leave those names in the past.

Bring us Babers, Neal Brown, or Mike Leach. It's time for an aggressive, innovative coach.
Babers isn't coming he just signed a fat extension with Syracuse. He would be a good hire.

Extension doesn't mean he won't come. It's all about the buyout and the opportunity presented.
Don't get me wrong i think Babers is a slam dunk. I watched a special on him the other day and was impressed on how his running game was a page take out of Joe Gibbs running game with the hogs.

What the **** is “groomed by Nick Saban”?

A guy like Nick Saban doesn’t get to his position by offering up his knowledge and wisdom to some ******* from Miami he brought specifically to land one or two elite recruits per season.
By that logic, McElwain was groomed by Saban too. I hate a portion of this fan base. Just dumb. Everyone would laugh off talk of hiring this bozo if he didn't have any attachment to Miami.
