He can play in 4 games as of today and still redshirt. Technically since the backup QB may not get into 4 games without the starter missing time due to injury Jacurri could be QB2 and still redshirt.
 
He also has complete control of the offense and playbook.

This is all you ask of your backup. Know the playbook, make the simple throws, and manage the offense. With the offensive line trending how it is, the backup needs to come in and make throws to keep the defense honest, don't make mistakes, and let the run game take over from there. We don't need a backup to be "the guy".

I feel alot better with Dawson as OC that we could handle having to play a backup for a game or 2 and still be okay.

Garcia and JB last year under Gattis was 1000% ****ing down our leg

When Dawson was hired, I made the comment that Emory was the perfect QB to bring in that class. Played in a very similar system in HS and kind of reminded me of the typical Leach QB recruit.

Agreed plus we will have 4 healthy RBs to wear teams down. His O will create some easy pass and catch on top of it.
I hope we never see the dog **** scheme we ran last year ever again. That was watching paint dry.

If it’s based on camp he’ll be the backup. Which is good because JB needs to shirt and he’s in favor of that as well.

i count parrish and the two freshman.

id say chaney is 50-50 at best as to whether **** be available all year. hes sadly injury prone.
