I doubt he plays. The raw ability is there but he will need to be acclimated to actually playing the position. He played in a system where he was usually the most athletically gifted on the field and was just asked to dominate.
Between spring EE, Summer, then Fall camp + the first half or so of 2024 season I think it's not far fetched if he's starting by November.

He played against some of the best competition in the country for several years at chaminade. Don’t think anyone agrees with you there lol.

He has never had to actually play the position and has no experience with coverages. Think it would be a disservice to throw the kid out there. I think he is a top tier talent but this is one that will need a bit of time before he hits the field. I hope he progresses fast and gets some playing time but the original statement of Freshman AA is a long long shot.

He did, but that has nothing to do with what I’m talking about. The system he played in just asked him to play school yard ball and it worked because 99% of the time he was more physically gifted than anyone he lined up against. He will need time to get acclimated.

He will obviously need time but chaminade is pretty sound defensively. His highlight tape isn’t put together but clips from his senior year show him playing man, curl/flat etc.

He’s going to play the James Williams safety spot which is similar to what he did in hs.

I agree and I love the kid as a prospect, he was a big time pickup for us, I just know he won’t be a freshman AA and it’s doubtful he gets much burn his first year. Not being a monster year 1 is okay and being one is a rarity.

He’ll play .you can’t keep that caliber of talent off the field. He will be on special teams day one .His progression will shine, and coaches will be forced to put him in game situations where he will excel.

Well if you don't play a ton year 1 he'll just portal out.

Smart kid with elite instincts and aggression. That combined with us losing our top 2 safeties has him seeing the field a lot.
