His impact on UM football has been immeasurable. I think his best coaching is still very much in front of him. He has a chance to be our version of Tom Osborne/Bobby Bowden. With everything going on in college football, could you imagine where Miami would be right now without him(and the current administration)? Mario could go down as the most important coach in Miami history.

this is what I tweeted about Cristobal back when he was on the verge of getting the UM job. It's hasn't been a smooth ride at times (it was never meant to be) but this is a guy who is evolving as a coach. And when it's all said and done, I think he will make a lot of national pundits eat their words

He has given Miami a real identity (one that is taken seriously) and nobody works as he does. Our highest ceiling as a program is with him. I have no doubts about that...

Now, for the love of God, Mario... #EstablishPoints!!!

it will and is, but if Mario puts up a long run(lets say like 15 or so years) and delivers a national title or three, given the state of where the program was, and how he resurrected Miami, he will make a case. All of our past great(and really, even mediocre-to-bad) coaches all stayed around 5-6 season. Cristobal gave this program much needed direction and stability
