Mario caught that comeback win

Indeed. It was impressive patience and physicality. The straight ahead running game bailed out that game. Herbert was hyper and not having much luck on straight dropbacks until the running game opened up everything.

Still, Oregon's defense got a bit exposed and the offense features too many completions behind the line of scrimmage. That's barely okay against a team of Washington 2019 caliber but they are not ready to move up in class.
It’s Oregon. They will never dominate on defense.

I never liked the idea of Mario as coach here bc he’s not the guy to take us to that elite status. That said, we don’t need a coach like that right now. We need a guy who can recruit well and hire a competent staff and get back to winning 9-10 games (low bar). Give me 3-4 years of that and the coach after that will be the key hire to take us to elite status. Imo

Mario is two years away from the playoff. The guy has true Freshman playing and has another sick class coming in.

LMAO!

There's no way on earth he would leave Oregon to come to Miami with this cheap *** administration at the helm.

He'll just get a pay raise at Oregon & continue to build what he's already got going on up there.

He's about to win the Pac-12 north division title. That's going to likely earn him an extension, especially if he beats Utah in the Pac-12 title game which looks possible. Meanwhile at Miami, it's a complete utter mess. I wouldn't leave Oregon if I was Mario either.

So if Mario gets Oregon to the playoff within the next two years you wouldn't call him elite? The guy is building a powerhouse at Oregon.

If we’re talking about one time, no. Heck, Kirby smart did it and I don’t think he’s elite. He has to be at consistently 11 wins out there especially with how average that conference is

Dude our conference is completely hot garbage. The guy is turning Oregon into a powerhouse, and he will keep winning. He would be dumb to leave Oregon for this job

Agreed. Mario is not coming, and his buyout is 10.8 million. After this season if he wins the PAC 12 he is getting a very nice payday.

Blake James ****ed him and hard. He has no interest at all, its over. We need to get Matt Campbell.
