Mario CANNOT Leave Oregon Like This

After such a poor showing, a man as honorable and classy and tough minded as Mario Cristobal wouldn't leave the program he built in obvious upheaval and without direction.

Coach Cristobal is a virtuous man. He should consider rallying the troops and taking another swing at it. Leaving after such a performance for a "better" opportunity is totally something a lesser man would do.

He can't make it seem like he's running from Utah or Lincoln Riley.

Be loyal, Mario. Don't let Oregon down and sign that extension. Don't be like the other scumbags in the industry.
You're being a dramatist. Upheaval? From losing a conference championship game? I cod see if he left them at like 3-8 or something. This is hardly a state of upheaval.

Ah yes, please send Lane Kiffin south—all that integrity and class he'd bring to the table.

Either guy is a massive upgrade from what this program has seen—but with Alabama and Georgia poaching the **** out of South Florida talent, give me the better recruiter—not the guy with more flash and sizzle, only to treat Miami like a rest stop toilet en route to his new job.

Kiffin is a climber; Cristobal is a Cane.
Except when he was a cane last time and climbed right over to Bama to work for saban after being here a month

I couldn't blame him for leaving Tennessee for USC, and leaving FAU for Ole Miss.

Don't try to use logic with these people. If he'd stayed at Tennessee, they would claim it proves he was scared of the spotlight of LA and wanted to be at a mid tier SEC school to hide and just collect paychecks, and if he'd stayed longer than 3 years at FAU they'd say it proves no P5 wanted him and he was scared of big time competition.

There was a time I would totally agree with this post. But, not anymore. Between NIL the portal and players leaving early why should I hold any coach to a different standard? Mario would be a long time hire at Miami. Let’s face it with gambling pimpin college sports and a Political farce playoff system, the whole integrity of the game is in question.

Schnelly was a climber, JJ was a climber, DE was a climber, Butch “da gaw” was a climber….Shannon was a cane too

I'd like to ask everyone on the board to help me out. Which statement should I post here?

1). I see OP working here. Which is more than anyone else in his life has ever been able to say about him offline.

2). OP's avatar pic > anything OP has ever posted.

Both are true statements, I just couldnt decide which was most appropriate for this thread.

After a day to think about it, I'm less critical of the loss today than I was yesterday. If he had to get on an emergency flight to see his mama the week of the title game, that probably means she is not doing well. That **** will weigh heavily on a man. Doesn't excuse the first beating, but I can overlook the 2nd one.

Losing in the conference championship after winning it the previous 2 seasons is not leaving the program in disarray. He is leaving the program in way better shape than he received it.
