Def likely a response to them getting their ish pushed in during their final 2 games last year. They are always talented, coaching matters too though.

I know some may feel like we are “good” right now with this defensive class with Dawson blowing up but I still feel like Jacobs is needed. Will I be upset if we don’t sign him? Of course not, but I’m a greedy mf AND it’d sting them. Play ball and keep hacking.

100%, you don’t stop going after a Myles Garrett because you already got Chad Thomas. We want all the top difference makers and the reason he is still a + one even with the likes of Dawson and Boogie in the fold.

If OSU gets denied the B1G title and has a hiccup or two (like a loss to Indiana and Michigan) and/or early playoff exit, I would not be surprised if Day makes the jump to the NFL. Buyout is only 4.5 million. Thats pocket change to the NFL. CFB is basically turning into the NFL-Lite, except HCs have to recruit all year long, fight off other coaches, and deal with NIL headaches. Day is making 12.5 million per year now, he could make 15 mil a year as a NFL HC right now, guaranteed money. Not all coaches have Cristobal’s love of the college game and actually enjoy the grind. Day has openly complained about NIL being unregulated and the headache of having to deal with other coaches trying to poach players. Thats only going to get worse as more money flows into cfb.

Might be some recruits that look elsewhere if Day leaves for the NFL.
