Less than ideal for him? Absolutely. Again, I didn't see him as someone who I expected to contribute much if at all this season coming off the cancer treatment + depth in front of him.
 
****. Was gonna say the kid can't catch a break but beating cancer is certainly a break. I'm sure this is just a minor setback comparatively. Will be the best story in basketball when he finally makes it back on the court. He seems like a great kid too.

If you look at the definition of "ideal" it is "standard of perfection, something that is the best possible"

That is quite literally the highest standard there. All he said was less than ideal.


Less than the most perfect scenario imaginable.

If Marcus were to even practice 1 minute with the team...now this is less than that. So hes right.

Harsh, but true. Hopefully, both of his recoveries go well.
