Marcis Ponder is a top 10 C in the 26 cycle. The brute force of his game has been compared to Shaq. He was offered by Coach L, but it's unclear if he's a priority for Jai.

Florida is well represented, but these 3 guys stock have made significant climbs in the most recent ESPN rankings. Happy to see Jaxx at #6, but somewhat surprised he's the highest ranked prospect out of Florida in the 2026 class. I mentioned Willie last week after watching him play in Virginia. I expected him to climb the rankings but didn't think he'd go that high. Also, happy to see Marcis Ponder finally crack the ESPN rankings at #75. Still has a ways to go...

As I said in another thread, Ponder was playing in the NBPA Top 100 camp today and had to come out of his team’s 2nd game due to an injury. Apparent broken nose after taking an elbow to the face. 😬

In talking to some college coaches, it seems the opinion on Ponder varies and are coming from both sides of the spectrum. Some coaches love him and think he can be impactful and has got pro potential, while other coaches just don't think he's any good at all.

My take on Ponder is that he can rebound and block shots at an elite level. Has a high motor and is tough. Moves fairly well for his size. These are all traits and skill that easily transition to the next level. His offensive game however needs a lot of work...
