March Madness...

Given how down the ACC is this year as a conference, outside of Duke, Louisville and possibly Florida State, Miami should beat everyone else. Outside of those three teams, everyone else has a problem scoring the basketball. 70 points will win a lot of games in the ACC this season.

It is possible that Miami could win 14 conference games and finish 4th in the ACC this season. 10 is definite and 12 is very likely.

Unfortunately, to make the NCAA tournament, I am not sure Miami will have any quality wins on their resume unless Temple and Illinois finish in the top 4 of their conferences.

Play the freshmen the rest of the way

Re-examine assistant coaches in the offseason

Fill up all remaining ships with serviceable grad transfer bigs

We will win 7-10 ACC games this year. Play the freshman is the quintessential fan refrain.

Our front court will be a strength next year. Brooks and Gak (recovery dependent) are rim defenders. Brooks will give us a few points and Rodney will be a serviceable rotation big. Sam will be a year older and more experienced. Walker should be ready to contribute at the college level.

All those guys will be better than the transfers who are likely to consider us.

Nope. Not this year. It's over.

With a six player rotation, UM will be lucky to make the NIT. Thank you Jim for being to lazy to coach a full squad. Can accept not getting top recruits, but there is NO EXCUSE for not getting a couple grad transfer seniors from lower mid majors that can provide 5 minutes of defense and rebounding as well as a body to practice against. Or maybe Blake was trying to save internal funds for scholarship dollars?

Miller is not an ACC player. Gak has shown no ability to even stay on the court to see if he's a serviceable ACC player. Brooks should be a serviceable ACC caliber big. Sam has surprised me and looks to be a generally serviceable ACC caliber big. Who knows if Walker will even be on the team next season.

That is very very far from the front court being a strength.
