Manolo gets the bigger picture with the OL

Yup.

I'm sorry, but after rewatching that game twice after the initial viewing.....Campbell doesn't look like a division 1 offensive tackle right now. I honestly don't think Zion was that bad all things considered. He was hurt off the edge on a couple plays where Zuniga either guessed or timed the snap count perfectly...and Zion honestly looked like he didn't know the snap count. I think that can be a teaching point.

I'll say it again....Campbell was mauled. He got beat inside, outside, with speed, and with power. At the very least we should have permanently stuck M. Irvin on his hip and just doubled teamed that side or.......we should do what we should have done and that was slide Scaife over and bring in someone like Reed at guard.

I’m not happy with Manny’s response to losing. Very not-savage. We should have curbed stomped that team. Apart from 2 Offensive Tackles, we were the superior team in every department. And they gave us multiple opportunities to win.

F*ck bowing down to the SEC. Turn of the Disney-ESPN Channel. We have PLENTY of talent and more than enough to beat an inferior in-state rival. They lost to Samford

maybe this is the best possible line? Just sticking Kennedy out there because of "experience" may not be any better.

At least half the sacks were on Jarren. Maybe 6 out of the 10 IMO. Classic point was the first sack in the redzone. He knew it was man with a blitz coming from somewhere. He went to throw it, double pumped, and took the sack. Have to let it go the first time. I think he thought to himself that he would rather take the sack than risk a possible turnover. Not the best, but hopefully he can start to throw the ball away. 2nd & 10 is much better than 2nd & 18
He seemed afraid to make a mistake.

So genuis, what do you expect him to do? Sign up some NFL players, or **** out OL that can do better then the ones we have on the roster?
He made a decisions on, if a veteran or a rookie or close to the same, you go with younger. It's an extremely wise coaching decion for short and long term.
Nelson and Scaife will very likely get better by end of season, same can not be said with anyone else.
Putting Donaldson at OT won't work, didn't work last year.
They put the bets players up the middle since pressure in the face is way worse then the edge.

This is best line we have THIS year, and its only going up from here.

this is an excerpt of his interview this morning on wqam
"We look at it, I will say this for those tackles, and again they weren’t giving out any trophies after Saturday night: Those guys, they went through some adverse conditions and blocked some really good players. They’re only going to get better. We can sit there and shake our head at those guys, or say look at all those plays where you’re doing a pretty **** good job. … at some point we’re going to play someone and not have a freshman quarterback, freshman tackle, freshman tackle. Those guys will be sophomores and juniors. "

We're not into moral victories, i get it, but we went toe to toe with an SEC opponent with this lineup.

LT; true frosh
LG; true junior
C; redsht. soph
RG; true soph
RT; redsht. frosh
QB; redsht. frosh
TE; true soph

they won't always be this young and now that we're a few days removed hopefully everyone will see what we're trying to build and that we almost beat florida with that lineup

Manny is going to ruin Zion if he continues to play him. The tackles are no where near ready to play and they could ruin their confidence for the future. Very worrisome

It's pretty clear there aren't better options behind the freshman. The miss eval on Kennedy really hurt as they believed he would walk in and solidify the LT position.

Always building for a few years down the road when Miami will finally be “back.”

Maybe Manny should just say that the next coaching staff will be set up to inherit a really cohesive OL filled with upper class men.

So for the monday morning QB's; how do you fix this line this year? Who on the roster can play T? Scaife? And don't say Donaldson because he's a turnstile as well.

Not changing the snap count is something that happens with a young QB making his first start with multiple offensive linemen making their first start. Let's see what get's fixed by NC. This is what Manny and Enos are getting paid for.
The training wheels are absolutely still on for this offence.

I think that's why we didn't make many adjustments to Florida - the players don't know all of the plays yet. They were struggling with the basics.

It was pretty much the perfect storm for Florida's D and we still put 20+ points on them.

Ah, the "training wheels" excuse that we heard all through Richt's tenure until it was obvious that his entire offense was on training wheels.

That is the best possible line we have now...where do you think we're going to get better and more experienced linemen by the time we play UNC.

This is who we have, its a product of the past, but i can say that we will be pretty damned good

I don't care how you slice it, there is nothing optimistic about giving up 10 sacks. I'm sorry. I can't take anything positive from that. At the end of the year let's see how many other 10 sack performances the gators put up. This is just my opinion but I would feel a lot better if coach just said it was not acceptable and we will get it cleaned up.

When you have shot to beat the Gators then you put the best current 5 guys you can up front. Scaife should have been at tackle for this game.

Not counting any 1AA games they may have, they obviously will not have another 10 sack game this year.

Our OL problems can't be cleaned up because the Oline is horrible. They won't look any worse than they did on Saturday because that's the best DL we'll see all season, but they won't become good.
