Manny's departure HELPS THE PROGRAM

This might also help expedite Richt’s departure.

He lost his only ace on the staff from the unit capable of saving his ***. If he doesn’t make a homer in hire at DC, he could have another 5-7 win season on his hands with a horrible recruiting class.

Next year could be his last season.

Simmer down. Hear me out. As you know, my name is Sonny Long. I was banned for speaking the truth about Mark Richt from day one. 99.8% of you now agree with my earlier sentiments. Why is this a good move for our program? It puts major pressure on Mark Richt to upgrade the staff. Manny is not there to save him anymore. I never thought Manny was a great defensive coordinator. However, I must admit that Manny saved us from a 7+ loss season.

The way I see it, Temple is serving as our farm system. Manny is going there to cut his teeth as a head coach. When he is ready, we pull him up to the big leagues to replace the fired Mark Richt. Win win....

Manny doesn’t deserve the head coach in waiting title. To be honest, I’m not sure what he can do with his own players. His scheme works but he has been dominant with Al Golden’s players. His recruiting has been suspect at times. Does he deserve more money? Possibly but Miami doesn’t need to empty the bank account in him. There are other young aggressive 4-3 style defensive coaches out there that Miami will get if Diaz walks.

LoL, are you insane, coach richt knows how to stand on his own 2 feet, it was he who gave manny the opportunity, he's been a headcoach for awhile, manny didnt make coach richt and wont break em. Coach richt will find somebody else if need be.

Coach hired inexperienced Jon Richt to Coach QBs...only the most important position on the field.

Coach hired inexperienced Todd Hartley to coach TE and...wait for it...SPECIAL TEAMS.

Manny prevented a 7+ loss season.

Richt is in Serious Trouble.

LOL, you guys are so fckin desperate you'll listen to any foolishness.

Losing Diaz by itself isn't the end of the world, but you've got to ask yourself how many Ls can we take at one time? As for new blood, that's fine but do we really want to be breaking in a new defensive staff right when we should be breaking in a new offensive staff? So no, there's no upside to this happening now.

And I'm not sure who OP is, but I'm betting he didn't get band for telling the truth about Richt so much as for constantly posting nonsense.

Did you somehow make that out to be a bad thing?

Did you somehow make that out to be a bad thing?

No. Al Golden obviously recruited well on defense. He just had them playing the wrong scheme. Manny gets credit for the change in style of play. What I’m saying is we didn’t get to see if Mannybaould have kept dominating. He hasn’t really even signed a LB since his first class which was all Al Golden’s kids. Nesta is the only DT we got for real since Diaz has been here. So what I’m saying is the verdict is still out if he would have been able to keep putting up these results long term because his recruiting has been very suspect. We will be fine in defense because Richt has always had pretty **** good defenses in his career cause he know he wants an aggressive style and will hire someone who fits that.

First, excellent, well written and thought out post. I agree in every aspect. Will force Mork Rich to earn his cash if he doesn't want his seat nuclear. Manny D isn't gonna be here to save him.

Secondly.....

CANEDOG. You are a sorry person, if you're a real offseason. When someone makes a truthful statement and/or post, your cornball **** comes along and downvotes. And you never post. Seriously, go buy you a pocket ******. Or Phallus. Whatever floats your boat. You and dawgcane. I swear y'all the same person. Y'all outta pocket.

we had coaches going to carol city, kendall boys club, and a bunch of positional jobs, this is a move in the right direction

The only way this helps Miami is if Diaz takes Searels and little Richt with him.
You've missed the OP point! No Manny should not bail out Richt, let Richt cut his own son and get rid of his own dead weight coaches! All pressure need to be applied or he will cut his own throat trying to cover for those clowns!!

Let me get this straight. You never thought he was a great defensive coordinator but yet you think he is going to be good enough to comeback and be the Head Coach?

Mark Richt was never a great offensive coordinator, but he became a head coach.

Dabo Swinney was never a great offensive coordinator, but he became a head Coach.
So, Manny doesn't have to be a great defensive coordinator. But he is a head coach now. Manny he has an opportunity to be a great CEO which is what Nick Saban is, Urban Meyer is and what Dabo Swinney is. Mark richt was never a good CEO....**** youth Pastor.

Im your ride or die, and I see your logic here.

Safety net now gone so Richt will now be exposed as the fraud that he truly is

Still think this takes the focus off the real problem with this team, the offense. Mork will milk this opening just long enough so that after the hiring it will be too late to bring in an OC.
