Manny will adjust!!

Honestly, even if we would have won, the fact that we didn’t beat that team by 14 would have been very concerning to me. The team is obviously better than last year but still far from a contender and finds new ways to lose...

This early, I have low expectations. Everything is new and we're razor thin at some key positions. That's always a recipe for potential upset.

We can rattle off a streak of wins or drop off games here and there. That's who this team is right now. Get better as the year goes on and build on that.

Manny better to learn how to recruit REAL fast. Can't rely on 10 win seasons or Coastal wins to bring in recruits anymore. Gonna need to get kids after 7 and 8 win seasons...

True.

Recruiting is tough. The locals are mercenaries, leaving behind kids they played with since they were kids for greener pastures in the hopes of a championship. So when championship college teams come calling, it's a tough ask to get them to take a chance on us.

We'll see what happens,. I'm sure they want the best they can get, and it's up to them to fill those needs. Lots of posters here act like that's a simple thing when in reality it's a collosal uphill battle.

I just hope he learns what a timeout is. Until then, he's Manny Shannon.

It isn't like Manny took over a championship team ala Coker. I'm hurt right now. Real bad. But I'm also smart enough to know that Rome wasn't built in a day. Manny's working with Richt's leftovers and what he could cobble together from the portal. Sidenote: How awesome is Osborn?

People got used to the hype of how we talked each other into believing we were back based on clips of practice and social media posts. I fell for it too. But unless you're one of those who relishes claiming victory over predicting failure, suggesting we're doomed is just being overly dramatic.
Ditto....

Manny, from DC to HC, has already shown the willingness to make change. His defense wasn’t working, incorporated a striker. The OL gives up 10 sacks, RT gets benched. Last night was disappointing to say the least, but changes will be made.
- our other kickers will get a shot against Bethune
- Shaq won’t be on the field on passing down.
- WE WILL RUN THE BALL.
- Probably moving towards a cover 2 and cover 2 man scheme to help our cb’s.
How exactly do you define "the striker" position?

He needs to call the defense and get much more involved on that side of the ball. The regression is mind-blowing and he's doing the program a disservice. This defense is unacceptable and there's no talking around it... Manny wouldn't even have gotten the Temple job if his defense performed like this...I'm sure he's hearing it and will make changes.

Yep. Maintaining the consistency of a defense doesn’t matter if the play-calling isn’t on point. What play is called - and in when that play is called is huge!
