Manny, from DC to HC, has already shown the willingness to make change. His defense wasn’t working, incorporated a striker. The OL gives up 10 sacks, RT gets benched. Last night was disappointing to say the least, but changes will be made.
- our other kickers will get a shot against Bethune
- Shaq won’t be on the field on passing down.
- WE WILL RUN THE BALL.
- Probably moving towards a cover 2 and cover 2 man scheme to help our cb’s.

Manny needs to adjust quickly! Starting the season 0 - 2 is UNACCEPTABLE for The U! Get it fixed NOW!!!

The sky is falling!

Lost a close game to a team that is perceived as being far better right now.

Lost a close game that literally could've gone either way. Playing on the road with a past coach who has brought them some buzz.

Would 1 - 1 be acceptable? What if we won last second last night? People would still he *****ing, just not as much.

That adjustment should have been made on the 4th and 17. There was no excuse for not playing dime cover 3 or quarters cover 2. Our DBs were getting beat in man coverage all night. On 4th and 17, all you have to do is play dime or quarters and force the ball to be thrown for a 7-10 yard completion. They gifted UNC a coverage that was the most favorable to UNC in that situation.

Correct.

Dismal 1Q doomed Miami.

Again, it's the consistent "one off" catastrophic play(s).

Miami can't keep shooting themselves in the foot like this.

Baker got too exotic on 4th and 17.

We want Manny to adjust*

I’ll believe it when I see it. “Golden is going to fire No D.” “CMR will open up the playbook.”

“No, no you don’t understand. [new coach] gets it and understands how Miami works and will address this. He made XYZ adjustment while he was doing this. He’s open to change.”

It’s the same cycle until proven otherwise.

I agree, it looks dismal, but the season is only two game in. Give the guy a chance this season then fly the banner next if things don't change.

Right or wrong Manny has never been a headcoach in his life. It will take a little time. We were not a good team last year and a guy who has never done this before had long odds to make it a great team year 1. All the great coaches sucked in their first couple years. Not saying that is ok but it is reality. Either stick with and support Manny for the U or go get someone with experience. This route will take some nurturing.

Was not in favor of the Diaz hire. No national search a c a coordinator learning to be a head coach. . He is not going anywhere for at least 2 seasons so I can only hope
he gets much better before the season is over. If he recognizes mistakes and gets them corrected is the key the rest of the season. If not I fully expect banners to fly before the end of next season

Manny is notorious for doing the same thing.

Also, you don't think the head guy was aware of which D was being run on the most critical play of the game? He was.

He needs to call the defense and get much more involved on that side of the ball. The regression is mind-blowing and he's doing the program a disservice. This defense is unacceptable and there's no talking around it... Manny wouldn't even have gotten the Temple job if his defense performed like this...I'm sure he's hearing it and will make changes.
