I was very upfront about that, I actually thought he might be a better head coach than DC initially, only because I thought he was the 2nd worst dc here ever. I despised everything about his defense. Even when it worked. Under guidance and with a decent skill group in happy valley, I think he will be successful though. They get athletes.
If he doesn’t obtain autonomy on recruits for the defense sure. Once it’s his guys his faulty evals will begin to show.
Agreed, I think PSU is on cruise control and he has to do very little with Franklin as recruiter that he is. I am not insinuating they succeed because of Manny, on the contrary, I think they succeed in spite of Manny. It will look good enough on his resume to some mid level school up there.
