Mark was willing to have CO DCs with no experience after Manny left. Manny comes back with his defensive expertise, will hire a DC and return the Banda and Patke to position coaches where they belong. Additionally, he fires the entire Offensive staff and S&C Coach. Other than that, he's just like Mark.

What in the god **** **** are you talking about?

He's young, hungry and motivated having an actual grasp on what it takes to succeed in this job.

He fired Jon Richt & Stacy Seashells, if he does nothing else during his time here, he'll get credit from me for just doing that alone.

Along with the Defenses he's built since 2016 all of which got exponentially better each year.

Dear op: nice try but your posting skills still need work. I suggest you and #stofmind go on a cruise together to the Caribbean. God bless.

Oh great. Another cis reclamation project dusts the dried boogers off his shirt from his last horrific run here and is going on a posting spree.

One of the issues - among many - that I had with Richt was his unwillingness to sweep the leg. Elite coaches/programs keep their foot on the gas regardless of who they line up against. Richt wouldn't - and it was a microcosm for how the program was being managed.

Manny wasn't my first choice but in a matter of days he's managed to leave Temple at the alter to take the Miami job, fire the ENTIRE offensive staff that was filled with coaches he spent the last 3 years with, demote his boys Patke and Banda, who were prematurely promoted, to get a qualified DC and go hard after a big time OC.

I think it's safe to assume that he felt like the program was a keystone cop operation and clearly sees what needs to happen to fix that. That in itself should excite us.

Whether these moves will translate to results on the field - we shall see. But, in a very small time frame he's shown he's willing to sweep the leg. I like it!!

Richt was left in a bind when Manny left. He wanted to keep the defense intact (only thing that had been successful) and Manny would have probably taken both along with him. Remember he was also going to hire another guy on defense but that never materialized. He took a risk promoting them, but it would have been a bigger risk starting the defense over from scratch.

Those two guys are no where near ready to run a major college defense. Mark had pitched a tent
