Looks like TVD (and Matocha) are going to get the lion’s share of the work in the 15 spring practises, with Garcia slowly easing in due to his foot, if I’m reading this right.

Then come summer, the three (TVD v G v M) will fight it out for number two, and possibly being the starter for Alabama if King is not ready by game 1.

I'll admit I'm a little surprised to hear Matocha. It kind of seemed like he had faded into the background. It would be nice to see that he's a contender.

Kyle Trask:
6'4" 225 lbs, low 3 star (.79) from Manvel, Texas
DT QB Felipe Franks' season ending injury opened the door for Trask

"Between Feleipe Franks’ breakout 2018 and Emory Jones’ progress and potential, it’s hard to see a path to playing time for Trask. Yet there he stood, alone at a table last week at UF’s media day, still wearing orange and blue, even though he could have left several times by now."

Peyton Matocha:
6"4" 204 lb, mid 3 star (.83) from Houston, Texas
DT QB D'Eriq King's season ending injury will open the door for Matocha

Everyone thinks Matocha is a bum who will never see the field.

Prepare to have your face melted by Matocha turning into a Heisman candidate in 2021.

Everyone loves to hear a story about the underdog kicking ***. I would love for one of our backups to be that guy.

His HS film wasn't bad at all. He sure as heck wasn't afraid to tuck it and run.
I remember seeing that, but he's just been an afterthought here. Nothing against anyone else, but I'd love to see him come screaming back from obscurity. Deciding which quarterback to play because they're all so good is a problem I'd love to have.

Love hearing positive things about TVD. Would be awesome to see some consecutive QB's have success with us in the coming years.
It’s nice to hear he’s a hard worker, but lifting weights and drinking protein shakes isn’t all that probative when it comes to big time QB play. We’ll only know if he has the actual goods when it counts.
