Manny on Joe Rose Monday 8 am

I myself, find a lot to be excited about this year. I think Manny does too and he's letting it show. I like that he keeps bringing up the Miami Standard because he's being consistent and he's constantly working towards that and it just so happens he has ACTUAL studs this year and enough players to fill slots. What would you all have him do last year? Bench 8 and 6 and plugin who (other than Smith)? Payton? The guy fires or reassigns people every offseason to move the needle towards the 'standard'. I'm for one give him the slack - I remember the Dorito Era or Richt where NOTHING happened.

While I agree with the general premise that a lot of coaches hold back TOO much info for no good reason, I do not think that is going to dictate what happens to Leftwich. Arians is known for having that big personality with the media, Bill Bellichick is not and always gives generic answers and no one gives a **** because he wins. Arians is also the one that kept Brady's torn MCL underwraps and now the NFL is investigating.
BB gives long thoughtful answers to worthy questions. He rightfully shuts down junky irrelevant questions.

The way you're describing the MCL sounds like another manufactured Brady witch hunt to me. It doesn't make medical sense that he just played on a fully torn MCL all year and no one knew about it. There's more to it than that - i.e. gradual weakening of the ligament, partial tear, etc.

There is definitely an art when it comes to dealing with the media. Some may give the impression of giving more information and others do appear as if they are simply reading from a cue card.

Concerning disclosure of injuries, I am unsure on the requirements but recall it is pretty broad and the Tampa Times did a story that it was fully torn when he got it repaired, he injured it in his final season in NE and it gradually got worse during the season. You are right, it definitely could have been a gradual situation even though Brady himself said it was "pretty serious" but to say there was not a single instance in the entire season Brady shouldn't have been at least listed ONCE as "probable" with a "right knee" designation is also likely unrealistic, I think the QB coach also said he was not 100% all year and Brady mentioned how much extra prep work he had to do to get the knee ready week in and out, so it was well known, yet you wont find Arians saying a single word about Brady's knee all season. I am also directing this at the Bucs and Arians when it comes to "transparency" with the journalists. I do not think, and am not blaming Brady for not disclosing it himself.

Man, if u think Sopranos is good, get on Gomorrah & ZeroZeroZero. Both recommended to me right here on CIS, both did not disappoint in the least.

Literally everyone on Gomorrah is hateful and unredeemable. Not a single character that doesn’t deserve to die a horrible death, maybe with the exception of some of the wives.

But I still watched every episode of every season. In the original Italian of course

The stupid thing is if you're a college coach looking to impress ADs/boosters or an NFL assistant looking to impress owners/GMs it can't hurt to to be forthcoming and articulate with the media. It can also garner some goodwill with the fans and educating your fanbase is good for business. Golden was able to delay the heat by being engaging with the media early on. Then he got more coy and evasive as the losing piled up and that never helps. Diaz is following the same playbook as Shannon and Golden.

I was listening to the Athletic NFL podcast with Robert Mays and he tried his absolute hardest to ask specific questions of Byron Leftwich and got total cliche non-answers every time. Then he asked similar questions of Arians and got opposite answers of what Leftwich gave. Next hiring season the Bucs could be in the middle of another title run with a historic offense and I'd still be surprised if Leftwich got real consideration for HC jobs. And the media will of course blame his race when it's the dull robotic personality that's a tough sell as the leader of a billion-dollar franchise.
Leftwich has the personality of a shoe

Bro, u literally can’t choose sides on this joint. Lol. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is deserving of death. It’s a show like I’ve never seen before. It keeps u hooked.

Also, if anyone has Epix, both Pennyworth (Alfred from Batman’s origin story) & Godfather of Harlem (Bumpy Johnson’s biography) are a-class shows.

All I know is our team looks like a legitimate P5 contender physically and athleticism wise..that **** In Talley looks like Golden 2012

Lmao...no cliff notes yet. Did anybody actually listen to the interview at all?
I listened rebroadcast end to end twice...

- See my earlier posts (I'm joking)
- Freshman were all put on 3 line to start... some will rise, some will not
- Upperclass were put on 1/2 line... some will stay/some will rise/some will not
- He feels more than 5 OL are starter caliber (he's obviously medicated)
- See COVID forum for further detail on fairly big tidbit
- QB1 is King. Period. (sorry QB1 Garcia stans)
- King has taken runs and made hard cuts "on purpose to prove it to his teammates and himself"
- He sees TVD vs Garcia contest lasting all year
- Hedley is P1. Period.
- No other starting position is locked
- Feels WR room is deepest/mixed its ever been
- Didn't at all mention LB position (unless I missed), but not a word
- Is high on depth and push potential recent class brings
- Lashlee is going to have 2 primary RBs... tough choice with 3 capable names in room
- He said CFB will look different 5-10 years from now, but is confident ACC has strong teams and strong leadership and will be a part of what is to come
