Manny on Hurricane Hotline

Most of you dopes continue to prove that you lack the cognitive ability to differentiate between “I don’t want to sign top prospects” and what Diaz said. Are you guys really that dumb or just looking for stuff to spin into your web of tears?

Lets be honest 57% of this site would die if breathing was not an involuntary bodily function.

2. UM doesn’t want to be used as some transitional bridge between high school and the NFL. Manny and the staff obviously want NFL prospects on the team, but he also wants players who are not using their UM experience primarily as a stepping-stone. There were more than a half dozen Canes in recent years who turned pro early, only to be drafted very late or not at all.
“We had a run where Miami was being used a little bit by players [where they] do what you have to do and get out,” Diaz said on Hurricane Hotline. “And that’s left Miami in the spot it’s been, as opposed to it’s their job to get Miami back to where [it was]. Getting guys to understand that is [is paramount].
If Manny is successful at changing this...and also keeps a staff around longer than 1-2 years, we WILL be successful on the football field.

Too many years have we seen young talent leave early, for no damned reason, and leave **** on the table at UM, as well as Money on the table in the NFL...

I really do not like Enos, right now. BUT I will say that I have seen some positives with our offense, and honestly it has started with the protection of the QB from the OL and the extra guys in the backfield doing their jobs and picking up blitzes...next there has been a LOT of improvement with our QB spot. IF Enos is orchestrating all of this among the offensive assistants and position coaches, than I, myself, am very pleased with that progress. It has a lot to do with his play calling that I have had a problem with, based on the performance of the personnel. In my opinion a coach has to make adjustments to that, and yes I understand these things take time. Thats my Opinion though...

I would love to see more guys sticking around for their senior seasons, especially if they are not projected as high draft picks, but all Miami coaches will have a hard time with that. Miami is all about some drip, and its in the athletes face on a constant basis. If people dont think good agent dont take advantage of this, youre crazy. Its easy money in the bank. Manny has to keep these players away from these agents and has to constantly preach on the value of staying from the education to the experience, to the fact that you can improve your draft stock and future in general. Tough job, but he has to find a way if he thinks hes going to change the culture of players leaving early.

You just proved my point.

You have no ability to think or see the big picture. Just rank the classes by some subjective number to determine if this program should be folded or it's going to be successful. It's so stupid you should be embarrassed to even think so childishly.

So if the class is 21st instead of 19th is the program substantially different? How about 31st as opposed to 29th?

What number do we have to hit before you stop referencing the low point of the season? If we have a Top 10 class? Top 20?

I'll answer for you. You won't ever. No matter what success we have you'll always go back to the GT game as your fall back when something, anything goes wrong. Cause like I said, that's what you are.

Wow.

Lots to unpack there Princess.

Lots of projecting.

Cut lines have to be drawn--that's how adults do things in the world. Temper tantrums and "but, but, but..." is how tween girls react when Mom amd Dad restrict their phone/screen time.

The loss to GT was PART of the low bench of the season along side the final drive stand against CMU. The low point (smart people would say nadir) in my opinion was 4th and 17--check it as I said as much about 2 secs after the play.

I was not alone either.

Why don't you review my posts. I said from beginning "In Manolo we trust, until we don't".

For the reasons I've tried to give you, Manolo became Manuela and the trust has essentially been forever broken.

Granted, perhaps Manuela can turn it around in Dabo Wabo time frame (~5-7 years), but I think it has been consistently stated here that length is unacceptable.

I, like most Canes fans, want to see them successful--ACCCD Titles, ACC Titles, Natties.

I also know, like others here, are what Blake and Diaz have shown is they are not the leadership team to get it done.

So I ask you again, coward, what is your prediction the class comes in at?

You appear to have great confidence in Manuela, back it up. If not, well then...

Back it up.

Dude starts off a post about projecting by calling another man princess and finishes it by calling our head coach Manuela.

What an epic self own.

I think you need to re-read it.

Don't make me post something like threatening the mods for being mean to me.

😬

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am wearing a ballerina outfit, you know, projecting and all that.

Kaaya left because he read the writing on the wall. Being coached by Jon with little input from his dad was an unmitigated disaster from the get go. He just read situation quicker than most. Perhaps this was his best read as a QB at the U.

Yeah, he really read that one well. It allowed him to start using his degree a year earlier.

Did little Richt even get another job? That qb room was an embarrassment.

Be interested to see how he preventsguys from going early. We have two guys this year that might be looking that should come back, Bandy and Garvin. If those guys come back then Manny will do something previous coaches could not.

He is talking about guys that only intention was to do their 3 years and leave. Guys that didn't really care about the success the team.
He mentioned the guys that have left early only to be drafted late or not at all. I don't see a whole lot of point in leaving early to be drafted in the 6th or 7th round.

Again, I think there are two guys from his side of the ball that drives his point, and maybe part of his thinking, more than anything else. Somebody tell me who they are.

Come on...someone get this

Seeing alot of dumbassery in this thread. Diaz is right. U win college games with QBs. Look at LSU for example. Also players have been using Miami, perform to their best or what they think is their best, then leaving as unpolished JRs to go undrafted. That goes to your effort and its also on the coaches to not accept that ****. I'm not gonna make any excuses for losing to GT or UNC but from my view Diaz seems to have identify the fungus and is in the process of getting rid of it

Not being a transitional bridge from HS to NFL?

How about this Manuela: don't have Miami lose to f[]cking HS teams like GT.

Fire this guy.
Some of you guys need to get over that loss already. It’s a young team with a freshman QB. If you didn’t expect some growing pains you were kidding yourself. The team is playing pretty **** good right now. Enjoy the ride and see where it takes us.

point taken...i just agree to disagree.

I do want this to be NFLU. And I hope to god Manny isn’t the type that would rather have someone who can get drafted stay an extra year unpaid....
I want the best for our canes players...

Yes someone like brad Kayya maybe made a folkish decision. But to say someone like that was “using” us... no.

Hopefully I’m overthinking this
