Technically, USC’s BCS title game victory over Oklahoma was vacated. I’m sure Trojan fans still claim the championship.

No, I would not want a single title only to see it stripped by violations.

Manny needs to:
  • Restore the program to its rightful place as an annual playoff and championship contender.
  • Win at least two titles.
  • And, should he depart for the NFL, leave the program in good hands for continued success.
Ten years from now, I do not want to be suffering through mediocrity while looking back nostalgically on a few successful seasons.

**** I’ll take there split AP title from 2003. They didn’t take that one away. I’m starved man! I need to get that OSU porter BS flag out of my mind. That can’t be my last vision/memory of us in a title game, it can’t be! Lol but other then that I agree with everything else you said. 👍

Only USC claims a split title 2003. The BCS national champion is the champ. This is the process the teams agreed upon, including USC. The AP poll or any other poll is irrelevant.

I feel your frustration, but I want more. I want a long run of success.

Bud, I couldn't have said it any better if I had a gun to my head. Feel exact same way. That is definition of torture. Wish I had never seen it. F*ck!

Yes I understand that but that’s why the AP didn’t join the BCS because they didn’t like the computer model rankings and there non ability to be subjective (see 2000) and they wanted to continue there tradition of voting on the champ. This is why the bcs added that BS Harris poll in place of the AP. Dude ask yourself this, we got ****ed out of the 2000 bcs game but had FSU won it was pretty much guaranteed it wouldve been a split title with them the BCS and us the AP since we beat them, would you really not have repped that AP? Come on man, you know you would have. Remember the coaches poll had no choice in joining the BCS and let’s also not forget of the two polls the coaches is generally always worse then the APs.

I am sure I would have claimed a co-NC in 2000 with FSU, assuming I didn’t vomit. Of course, there’s no guarantee the AP would have voted Miami had FSU beaten OU. Especially if FSU won handily.

My point is the national champion in the BCS era was the winner of the BCS Championship Game. The AP or anyone else can make up any poll they like. There were no co-national champions.

Oh the AP sure as heck would have. Human voters were quite upset that we weren't in the title game.
