My favorite thing Desmond said was that we need to be thinking about competing nationally and not about winning the Coastal. The Coastal is irrelevant. Frankly it’s mindset that needs to change even on these here boards. The Coastal is a sorry *** division that we should be winning yearly even during down seasons. It’s the equivalent of the Big East. You would’ve never heard players, coaches or fans talking about the Goal is to win the Big East. I get that we’ve had a ****** 15 years of not dominating it, but it’s time we stop treating that as the pinnacle and aim a little higher.

Honestly, who in their right mind believes in Perry. People around here are desperate just because his last name isn’t Rosier. I am willing to bet the kid won’t be on the team by the time fall camp opens!

That's exactly right. We have allowed ourselves to lower expectations so drastically that many see winning this loathesome Coastal division as some sort of worthy goal when it is, in fact, not even a full rung above a participation trophy. Fvck the Coastal, fvck the ACC. The only goal - each and every year - should be the national championship. No, you don't win it every year, but if it isn't your goal you'll never win it.

After my initial feelings of disgust for the BOT/AD. I'm ready to go all in with El Jefe. Maybe he can right this ship after all.

If the coaching gig doesn't work out El Jefe can easily be a gypsy medicine man skipping town to town robbing the townspeople blind because after hearing this articulate motherfücker talk I'm buying whatever he's selling.

McKenzie Milton was a low-end 5'9" 160 point 3* QB and an outlier to the discussion. His other offers were from Hawaii and the Air Force lol.

Also, have you looked at UCF's roster. Scholarship + Non-Scholarship players on that roster that are NOT from the state of Florida is under 30 total and most of them are from Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana.

They don't "recruit nationally" nor should they. They are UCF.

Desmond failed to mentioned Bama paying for Tia's entire family to move to Tuscaloosa... recruiting nationally doesn't happen without BAGS.
 
Welp. Everyone seems to think the OC is Fedora. I mean, they were all laughing about it and gave Manny the opportunity to break it.

The one thing I do like is when Manny says he wants the O to play Miami football, I believe him, philosophically. Everyone says it, but I belive he means it, and he’s doing things to make it happen. This I like.

We did recruit nationally and got Williams. Problem is no one knows about him because Richt refused to play him. There were several reports that Williams outplayed Lawrence in the all star game practices.

Jesus Christ... YOU DONT NEED TO LAND A TUA TO RECRUIT NATIONALLY. There's plenty of QBs across the nation

I agree to disagree. You have to win the Coastal to get to an ACC title to get to the CFP. Until we dominate the Coastal year after year to the point of being an afterthought, we MUST focus on the Coastal, BUT we should NOT be satisfied with winning it. The Coastal is the stepping stone to an ACC title which is the top goal. Win the ACC and your in the CFP.

On a side note, if we could get our offense together, I think an ACC title could be had in 2019 because Clemson's defense won't be as good since they're losing all 4 starters on the D-Line plus 1senior sub that is starting in place of the suspended Dexter Lawrence. I expect their offense will carry them next year. We would need to be in a shootout to beat them.
