He knows his only chance at PT just exited the building.
Ragone's going to tug on Mario's shirt and say "Hey Coach, so where do I fit in for 2022"

Mario: "Walk on Tryouts will be early Spring"

Ragone: "No Coach, I actually was one of our better linebackers under Manny da Gawd. You should check out my film and my podcast"

Mario, looking up and down at Ryan Ragone: "So is this podcast a comedy bit or something?"

TBH even if Mario falls through I am just happy, feels like a new direction for the program (though we've said that before) As for Manny, He tried, he just didn't know what he was doing, I wish him the best in the future.
Problem is, he isnt even a candidate for the Saban School of Coaching Reformation.

Does it matter?

We are now at a new point of "In Super Mario we trust, until he gives us reason to not"

Absolutely no different than what we afforded former HC Manny Diaz.
Nick Saban has been the top coach in cfb for a decade now, and is still hiring former P5 coaches/coordinators to his 30 member support staff (Hilarious cuz that isn't even an exaggeration). It definitely matters if Mario is going to grab as many minds as possible.
