Manny- no different than Lincoln Riley or Ryan Day

Manny doesnt have track record as Lincoln, he had one great defense. Lincoln had yearss of evidence and was universally recognized as one of top offensive minds.. What is this ****?! Stop reaching, this is lazy hire.. We didnt even interview anybody

Manny was as proficient a DC these last years as Riley and Day.

In many ways this reminds me of when Oklahoma hired Bob Stoops. Great DC who understands the culture. Be willing to bet he hires an innovative OC the way Stoops hired a then obscure coordinator Mike Leach.

Hope you are correct. I’d rather bet on up side then get a retread who has proven that mediocrity is their ceiling.

You know the type that gets wood shedded by the likes of Lane Kiffin.

Dude... Stoops won National titles, Riley was one of the hottest assistants in all of FBS...

We aren’t a built established program again... we just paid 4 million dollars to promote our DC of the team this year that won only 7 games to be the HC.

We aren’t Oklahoma. We are idiots.

Hope you are correct, but you really wanna wager that Manny is the next Bob Stoops? Because Miami just did.

And there is no way in **** I touch that bet.

Wisonsin(twice) BC GT CLemson all disagree. He beat up on shlt competition but any team with a pulse walked all over dIAZ

Not happy with the hire, but it will be interesting to see what he does with the staff. Will he have the balls to demote Banda and Patke and bring in a real DC, will he blow out most if not all of the offensive staff and bring in a top OC?

Manny now has to be the bad guy, can he handle it, or will he cave to the buddy system?

Lincoln Riley had been Oklahoma’s oc for two years. He was at East Carolina before that. He became HC at Oklahoma when he turned 33 years old. It’s complete revisionist history to think that wasn’t a big roll of the dice. People forget Manny was the hottest DC out there when he got the Texas job. Things fell apart with Mack Brown but he proved what a good DC he is the last few years.

It’s not exactly a full deck of defensive talent he was dealt. His defense had nowhere near the talent of a Bama, Clemson, LSU yet they performed at an elite level. He turned JAGs like Adrian Colbert and Michael Jackson into NFL players/prospects.

We'll see. We'll see.
My opinion Diaz has the Miami attitude like howard,JJ and butch had.look at his defense's they always hustling to the ball his players do the small things right tackle for loss, turn overs etc.if you ask me to go from 110 ranked offense at the end of the 2015 season three years after taking over and have a top ten rated defense speak volumes.Miami has always kicked gift horses in the mouth and wonder why Cinderella never comes home.
