Manny Navvaro " the players hated Enos"

You guys act like these allegedly pansy players just showed up here on their own. It’s all on the coaches. They brought them here, and they can’t lead them once they get here.
Exactly. I'm totally annoyed by porsters, mostly coaches' slurpers who always find ways to put the blame on players. We get HS recruits from the same pool every other good football program gets their recruits. But all recruits come with mostly potential, kids with raw talent and physical ability and it is up the coaching staff to mold them into men who can play football at high level. Or not.

this is really quite the excuse thread...the issue is still Manny the AD and above. They are aligned and you can see it if you open your eyes.
zero will change next year...expect the same results if not worse.

They think Manny is a clown.

What?

You mean the players don’t respect a guy with this look on his face?

I can’t imagine.

We did the same thing calling the defensive players under No D soft, lazy, stupid, etc.

Manny comes in and turns that bottom dwelling unit into a solid unit and then they were “elite”.

Enos lead the players to failure everyday in practice and wasn’t competent enough to adjust to them properly. If you want to be an insufferable prick, fine. But it BETTER WORK.

Otherwise, you are seen as a prick AND a fool and it falls apart really quick. All we need is a flexible, solid coordinator that fits the plan to the guys we have right now and grooms them into his vision in a successful progression.

Diaz did it and had us thinking the defense was better than it was. A good oc would do the same now and would have been magic, even going back to Richt.

One of the best movies I’ve seen was “ A Bronx Tale “.

I highly recommend this true story awesome movie . Anyway the God Father so to speak of the Bronx asked this question of his young buck wise guy in training.

Is it better to be respected or feared ?

The answer was FEARED.

General Patton said fear and Prayed constantly for his men to fear him.

So with all this @The Franchise you may have a certain point here with the coaches, many times I wished for a timeout for CMD to gather his team and actually point to the score board and throw a tantrum and call out players for slacking point them to the bench and get the next guy or bench the whole team on the field telling them I’d rather lose with effort fight then freeloaders like you.

Question Chise CMD led and coached a pretty darn good D before so he does know how to Coach I would think.

Yes CMD could have done better in many areas but it was his first year running everything from unlocking the door AM yo locking door at night that’s a **** of a job for a first time HC with ZERO support.

CMD now knows FEARED is the right choice.

Does Harris have any sources for the allegations he is making against the players or is this just conjecture on his part? I’m not saying it’s far fetched but do we actually know that they were playing Fortnite instead of learning the playbook? Regardless, I’d probably start to tune this staff out at some point too. It’s the coaches job to put the players in the best position to win and they did not do that this season.

Manny didn’t roast the players because that’s not what is in him.

LOOK IN HIS EYES when adversity hits.

You don’t want an out of control coach flipping out over every little thing, but there are times when righteous anger is needed to light a fire under your team and wake them up.

All we got was Manny looking shook. I like Manny and want him to succeed, but that look in his eyes creates too much doubt for me to believe he can turn it around.

The eyes of a coach tell you so much. I could look in Richt’s eyes and knew he wouldn’t be here long. Others disagreed, but the EYES DON’T LIE.

You're missing some of the main issues that's caused Miami its recruiting problems - they have to have heart, (at least some) football intelligence, and be coachable. Like another poster who had 'sauces' said - they'd rather be playing video games than be in the playbook.

Perry was in the system two years and sat in 2018 because he still didn't know the **** playbook. He's athletic, talented, and makes most of the throws, but instead of being a clear starter in his 3rd year, he is Exhibit A for the above paragraph.

Yes it was like he was shaking his head but his head wasn't moving. I said as soon as he left, he couldn't wait to get out of here to stop tarnishing his legacy. A 745% SEC coach performed a miracle running off 15 straight beating ND and #2 -with a QB he said would never start - then reality hit him after they quit on him.

Freakin' Awesome movie - this too: "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent, and the choices that you make will shape your life forever."

He may have been referencing one of our offensive linemen telling Lorenzo Lingard he's gonna miss all those nights playing call of duty in a tweet. That and a few players stream themselves playing games at really late hours.

I follow a few players online and a some are constantly streaming themselves playing really late at night during the week this season.

Didn't really watch cause it would be long and late. Blades & Hillery. I never really thought much of it til Kelvin mentioned it. Downtime, being college kids and all.

All correct. Enos fared best with Brandon Allen, who is not the most talented guy but very sharp and essentially another coach on the field. Allen is still in the NFL with the Broncos and I expect he'll be a coach someday. During that season Enos could focus on particulars and not worry about knucklehead inevitability.

Then at Alabama he's got two highly rated quarterbacks who are good enough to star as true freshmen. That's simply a different level than Canes personnel in this era, whether we choose to accept it or not. I can almost guarantee Enos was shellshocked once he got into meetings and practices and fully absorbed the gap for the first time. Same thing was reported regarding the offensive line coach.

BTW, Enos did not chew out Jarren for lateraling the ball. He ran up to him and screamed, "Jarren...throw the ball." That play was a designed Hail Mary and actually evolved in extremely favorable fashion. Jarren got flushed right. The only defender in the area fell down. Jarren had plenty of time to settle behind the line of scrimmage and loft the Hail Mary wherever he desired.

Once he made the incredibly bonehead move to proceed beyond the line of scrimmage the remainder was mostly trivia. The lateral received overboard spotlight here compared to the meaningful variable of not throwing the football.

But JW15 was better at the UA game than Trevor Lawrence bro.

I'm not missing anything friend. No HC can see recruits hearts. If you're saying our players if went to UGA or Alabama instead they would still be playing video games just because they are "this kind of kids" then sorry I have nothing more to say.

Hmmmm very interesting @TruCane81 , got me brother WOW shined a new light here.

Yes I‘ve seen it yes I have omg come to think out it .
Kinda like a hint of deer in headlight look yet faint not wanting to offend yet lead .

@The Franchise , I may have seen it , yes awesome DC but at HC with having to please so many yet Coach is the word OVERWHELMED yet can coach but HC a totally different game blind sided him.

So the extra eyes so yo speak running behind the scenes may relieve some this coming year and he can get a grip.

I think I got your drift here now so this coming year is critical to say the least for CMD to get FOCUS.

Enos being a failure doesn’t excuse Jarren Williams and N’Kosi Perry quitting on the team/season after the Louisville game.

UM will only be better on offense when both of these gutless frauds are off the roster.

Eh. Dabo begs to disagree.

leadership isn’t a formula. There are different styles, but fear will get you run off fast if you don’t combine it with credibility and results. Same with liked or respected. You can have a long suit, but it better work.
