If we go 8-4, why did we fire Golden? We didn't hire Richt to go 8-4. This team is very talented, and I can see improvement in almost every aspect of our game due to superior coaching. We were so putrid in so many areas the last several years, like 3rd down conversions, and stopping teams on 3rd down. I fully expect those numbers to go from horrible to at LEAST average. That could easily make a 2 game difference over last year. I also expect us to beat FSU this year. They are NOT world beaters, and that stadium will be extremely loud. For the first time in ages we will have a home field advantage, and it'll show against FSU.

Why did Alabama fire Mike Shula for Saban to go 7-6? Why did OSU fire John Cooper for Jim Tressel to go 7-5? The list goes on in year 1.

This is a talented team. That Alabama team was a mess year one. I just don't see where we are that big of a mess to stay at 8-4. I see so many aspects of our team improving, but I should expect the same W/L record, with arguably an easier schedule?

I'll take Brad Kaaya over John Parker Wilson and playing in the ACC Coastal over the SEC. But that's just me.

Despite our recent roster issues, I agree with Manny's line of thinking. I foresee us winning 9-10 games this year. Regardless of what anyone says if we're still undefeated going to Blacksburg after a short rest week then it's probable that we drop that one. Especially since it's the week before the Notre Dame game. That has trap game written all over it for a team that has major depth issues. I do think we beat FSU this year but maybe also slip up against UNC.
 
Underrating the depth problem....everyone is doing so. Every team looks unbeatable until the injuries mount and scrubs are seeing the filed at the end of the year.

We have a good team and what seems to be a major upgrade on the sidelines, but too many holes right now.
 
The only way we lose to VT is if we get out coached, and I do not foresee that happening

I think we lose to UNC and ND, and end up 10-2

We were a few bounces being an 8-9 win team over the last few years with a sh1tty coaching staff that could not out scheme anyone, a sh1tty defensive scheme that resulted in having some of the worst defenses in entire FBS and an offense whose third down efficiency was one of the worst in FBS. Even if we increase the last 2 to the 30s/40s, that alone amounts to a couple wins. Add in the coaching staff and less than 9 wins is frankly, unrealistic.

Great point, dead guy. The rest of the Coastal is 3 deep with 4 and 5 star players.

If you thought in terms of money and not as a fan would you say 10-2 is realistic?

You would put money on your 10 win prediction?

As a fan you have nothing to lose with any prediction and so it comes from the heart-but think of your prediction as a wager that you are forced to make.

I dont want you to bet on your prediction just to think it through as if it were a bet.

Brad Kaaya coached by Mark Richt could possibly tear the ACC apart. At least the Coastal. I remember how FSU dominated the ACC when Richt was calling plays there, and I can see, at the very least, us dominating the Coastal the same.

You're forgetting to mention the 58-0 romping Clemson gave us. That game got rid of golden. Admin would have let him finish the Season and maybe another year if he dumped no D
