Bryan Robinson Jr is 6-1 225......he will run all over a 4-0-7 defense. Of course, that is my opinion.

We can put 2 true linebackers on the field but they won’t be in the right spot. Due to their brains or their speed. Either way give me a smaller guy who will be in the right spot

Go rewatch the UNC game and tell me UNC didn’t have 3/4 WRs on the field majority of the game..if we trout out 2 LBs Bama will spread us out and go to the pass game. I don’t think Bryce will have any training wheels on him. And as I said I don’t think two ILBs are impacting the run game any more than adding more speed would..us shutting down the RG starts with the front 4

But if SB6 is healthy like they’re saying. Plug him in the middle with KS4 and that changes the whole complexion of the defense. Speed kills.

The only defense against Bama is a super constricted sphincter.
 
Alabama will try to run the ball but it won’t be out of ancient power running sets with two tight ends or a fullback. It will be out of spread formations with 3 or 4 WR. You know, how everyone plays in 2021. Big guys who can’t play in space are worthless. We joke about 4-0-7 defenses but that’s the way the game is literally evolving. We already dropped the SAM position for an extra safety in 2018. There’s a good chance we’re going to be starting another safety at WILL this year. What do you think we’re going to do with guys like Chase Smith and James Williams?

Won't matter if they are in the right spot if you get plowed over by a TE. There is a reason that you need guys in that 225+ range because if we don't have them teams will just play power football and run all night. A team playing with multiple TE's and an H could have as many as 3 guys over 230lbs charging at safetys. It would go very badly.

Jennings and Steed aren't the answer at LB. But we can't drop the position. Hopefully 2 years removed surgery both of these guys can play a little smoother this year. We need better lb's.

Thank you. I know ppl think the 4-0-7 defense was a joke..but I’m 85% dead serious on it being a reality for us

3 WR means 11 personnel with a RB/TE.

You’re just asking for North Carolina 2.0 all over again lol
