Manny doesn’t believe in Perry

I mentioned this very thought in another thread that maybe Manny has some doubts about Perry based on his previous transgressions. Manny witnessed Perry's antics first hand last year and that may have left a lasting impression. Nevertheless, Perry seems to have matured and become a model citizen. Sometimes it's difficult to earn back trust after making some mistakes.
So you're saying "clean slate" didn't include Kosi...sounds like some of that bs coach speak he fed us all offseason

Good Lord, y'all can just run with some bullsh1t. What is this, junior high school—Diaz doesn't "like" Perry? Did Enos pass him a note that said "Check yes or now for Perry or Williams"?

Diaz may be in over his head out the gate here, but the guy is far from an idiot. He knows the leash is short and that he needs to start winning ball games and building a competent program.

Zero reason to believe he's not going to play the best guy for the job and whoever Enos thinks is the most-coachable and has the most upside.

Perry has flashes where he looks solid and other times he's a deer in headlights, staring down receivers, forcing passes and not going through his progression. Kid has one full year on Williams, yet he couldn't separate himself in the fall?

Good effort coming back from down 28-0 on Saturday. Now he'll get his shot to compete this week. Kid wants it that badly, deliver a knockout blow at Greentree and take the job from a punch-drunk Williams—but he's not getting it handed to him because he almost rallied for a comeback (after throwing an end zone interception and was bailed out of a pick-six by a roughing-the-passer call on 3rd-and-20) because Williams had a rough quarter, after starting the past four games and earning the job in fall.

The bad quarter opened the job back up, so let's see what Perry is made of. Williams as well, for that matter.
One year on Williams as if they're in the same offensive system and have the same OC as last year.

Game snaps count. He played in 11 games as a redshirt freshman, that matters when you factor in feel for the game compared to Jarren only playing in 4 games under his belt pretty much

You're wrong, perry been separated himself from the other 2, but they went with the safe choice. They wanted a guy like jw15 who coach enos could talk **** to and not get **** back. Wasnt gon9e work with perry, for coach enos to say what he said about jw15 after the gaytor game was pure trash when you factor in the stupid play-calling after it was very clear the gaytors d-line was feasting but enos still calling for 5 and 7 step drops with play-action fakes. Alot of our sacks are on coach enos, jw15 is fragile minded, threatening to transfer if he doesnt start and now that he's the starter, he's scared to throw the ball downfield, perry put up points, now let's see what happens this week, jarren would probably have more confidence if he started next year, he's still on the come up!

But that is where you have to be the mature leader of young people and recognize talent that you are not seeing...

Had a kid in Baghdad who always seemed to be a problem. Tried all the old "hard core" tactics, but came to realize he needed challenge and autonomy. Guy straight re-built our command and control system, doubling efficiency. Of course, he gets back to the world at a different base from me and gets in trouble; square peg in a round hole and his superiors can't see it. Go to bat for him to get him out honorably...Probably making great $$$$ now.

A leader has to adapt too...If Manny can't do that, fly the banners and fire his ***!

As I'm sure you're aware, some "get it" right away; some take a little longer, and some never do. The key to being a great leader is determining those characteristics of your charges and adjust your tactics for motivation for each.

Thanks for your service BTW.

Manny has made a lot of assumptions about his players, his job and the fanbase; so far, most of it has been wrong. He’s where he is right now because of arrogance and he’s getting his comeuppance. I don’t know what’s the deal (have heard rumors since the summer …) but Enos, from the presser, seems to not be on the same page as Diaz.

back to the assumptions … if a guy gives the team the best chance to win, then that’s your guy. it’s just that simple; especially, when you’re 2-3 and have lost 2 Coastal games AND a great portion of the avid fanbase. I said long ago that #TNM means The NOW Miami because there’s no honeymoon, no Vaseline, and no tears.

Manny, you’re a smart guy, don’t outsmart yourself.

I got those vibes from Eno's also. Eno's is HIGH on Perry and was impressed with his composure and willingness to be a " team player. " Yet he said it's up to head coach to make the call on the starting QB. Reading between the lines... Eno's would like to see Perry, because JW is officially on the IR list. So all in all, Perry fans may get their collective wishes come Friday night.
