Manny Diaz will be our head coach in two years

I said this a little while back. Diaz is doing the Gus Malzahn. He sees the ship is sinking and he's going to get the **** out of dodge. I totally agree with you that he will be Miami's next HC. Hopefully, he does a better job here than Malzahn has done at Auburn.

Im calling it right now he will have two succesful seasons at temple then he will replace richt here.

Bump this in 2020
Exactly!!! This is what you call a setup. Miami knows Richt is too stubborn to listen. So they'll let him hang himself. Mean while, Diaz, gets head coaching experience while all this is happening. Diaz is a MIAMI CUBAN... His father was the MAYOR of Miami at once point. This is a dream job for him. SOOOO Richt, you're on notice and U FAM, hold tight. Diaz will be hooooome son.

Certainly possible.

At current performance, let's hope Richt doesn't last two years.

Key questions:
1) What will Manolo's buyout be at Temple within 3 years?
2) What will Mario's buyout be at Oregon within 3 years?

This lines up with my prediction that Richt will be gone in 2 years. Manny leaving just (realistically) sped up the process. Expect some 4-8, 5-7. I'm being serious. We went 7-5 with a top 3 defense so what are the chances Richt hires someone who can keep the defense a float like Manny did if Richt keeps himself at OC? It just realistic to expect a drop off defensively.

I see things playing out like this: Richt stubbornly keeps himself his at OC and MIGHT use his son as a scapegoat this off-season, we go 5-7, Richt finally decides to get a OC who just runs the same system Richt runs and goes 5-7. Richt is fired after 2 seasons with no bowl game.

Let's just hope that James and Richt are both fired at the same time. James for the 2nd time as extended a HC who isn't going to cut it leading to having to be more buy out money.

He'll definitely be back. They won't even bother with the search committee. Another reason why I'm not mad he's going. Let him get broken in and get the rookie mistakes out of his system elsewhere.

I'd say we'll have to see what happens this year to see if he'll be our head coach in 2 years.
