Lake has actually asked some very pointed questions the last couple of weeks. He does it respectfully but gets them squirming a bit.

I don't understand what his infatiuation is with not answering questions or taking responsibility for anything. As the HC you pretty much need to be on repeat saying "...blah blah and it starts with me" for like every answer to every negative question. He never does. He just deflects and dodges. Spoken like a true son of a politician. Sigh.

Good, he shouldnt be sleeping. As of this moment, hes living week to week after this Saturday. Going into Thursdays game against UVA his career in coaching is on the line by the week. He will never be a HC again at any school if he gets fired. If he loses 2 games the rest of the way they will fire him midseason because the ACC Coastal is all but lost and the pressure will be too much at that point.. His career path will be a DC at a mid P5 school if hes lucky. Hes seeing his life flash before his eyes just 3 weeks into the season when just one month ago the sky was the limit for the potential of this team.
 
Coach Diaz: "We've struggled to find the right combination up front"

John Q ****ed-off Canes Fan: "For three years now? Well sir, with all due respect, that kind of answers the player development question the gentleman was asking, don't you think?"

Coach Diaz: "But we are continuing to increase the talent on our roster."

John Q ****ed-off Canes Fan: "No, no [Short rapid head shaking]; again with all due respect sir, I'm really not seeing that."

Every time there is a negative Insinuation towards him or the staff, he asks for clarification or acts like it’s not a clear question.

Also, just like our other failed coaches, there is zero change in coaching or play calling….the solution is we just need to play harder and compete better, blah blah

I find it difficult to understand, when faced with the impending inevitability, how one does not reflect and consider possible changes.

At this point what possible good does it do to stick to your guns. I would think self-preservation alone would cause one to consider other options.

Manny, you have some serious decisions to make over these next few games.... Good luck with that…
