the segment should be up soon. there new website sucks. the old one was great.
 
Talked about using a 4-3 like the old great UM Defenses, getting in the backfield and causing havoc. Said they're recruiting by position not geography for now, that UM should represent SoFla with local talent, and he hasn't evaluated current players in order to give everyone a fresh start.
 
he definitely likes to attack. all about 4-3. said him and kool are on same page.
 
The new site sucks. Just google joe rose show and it will pop up. I liked what he said. All about negative plays and getting across the line of scrimmage. Whew this is going to be great

I look for guys like DJax, GWillis and Grace to become absolute monsters in this new system.

Love that he is not evaluating anyone off old tape. Everyone starts from scratch and has to earn there job as if its the first day they got here out of HS.

Alot of people didnt like the hire but I am excited about what he can bring. And we have some horses to run this type of scheme too.

I hope I seen D Jax has gained some weight and guys like Mike smith but I doesn't look like good weight at all.

Yea I'm looking forward to seeing what he's learned from his previous stops.

-asked about personnel doesn't know much about team yet has been jumping into recruiting, doesn't want to look to much into the past, will get everyone a clean slate and fresh start.
-recruiting: feels good about heading out onto the road on thursday
-Loved Alabama's depth and two deep in the trenches' due to keeping up with the pace of Clemosns offense
-says Alabama winning penalties and ST was the deciding factor
-Be a great red zone defense and don't give up big plays is what he hopes for in his attacking style.
-Talks about how much he loves Coach Kool having 4 defensive linemen and when that ball is snapped he wants our feet across the line of scrimmage
-Says sometimes the allusion of pressure is good enough
-Joe Rose decides to ask him about politics and his dad..... myami
-Asked bout if he thinks the team has talent. says he thinks he's got some guys that will show up when the lights come on.... thinks he can put a defense out there that people are gonna wanna go out and watch.
-Must stop the run at a much higher level.... make a team beat us left handed
-South Florida recruiting is much tougher down in South FLorida due to the internet, world becoming smaller ect,,, but in the last week he has found that a lot of kids still love the U, call it their dream school and still have that Us verse the world mentality.
-says canes represent the city better than any other south florida team

that was about it and sounded pretty fired up
 
I wouldn't want to look at last years tape either. I'd hunt Doritos *** down and punch him.

i felt that way too. i think its because he knows his defense is made for south florida kids.

This. I know his defense has never put up elite nummbers but the success of his scheme is predicated on the Dline and hes never had the talent up front and the D Line coach that he has now. Must be licking his chops
 
I would love to actually get his take on our defense from last year. Turn the Clemson or UNC game on and see if he can even decipher what the heck we are doing. ****, that Cincy loss was about as bad as it gets really.

I bet it would be funny to see his reaction.
 
Sounds like a guy who wants to get his rep back...He knows he lost alot of juice at UT...Maybe we can get DC version of Lane Kiffen here? It will be great to have a coach who has a chip on his shoulder. Maybe thats why Richt got him. Spring ball cant get here soon enough.

I actually think the Cincy loss was the worst of last season. Clemson was so completely better than us at every position.....that total meltdown wasn't a surprise. Same goes for UNC since No'D had no idea how to stop an up tempo offense. Cincy didn't have half the talent we had last season but our defense somehow figured out a way to lose that game.
