Manny Diaz....is he...

Manny has an uncanny ability to fail upward. When he was hired here as DC Golden had stacked the defense with some decent talent. D'Onofrio was so bad that a ham sandwich could have improved the defensive performance. When he recruited his own players the performance fell off.

As HC here he was using players that CMR brought in. When he recruited his own guys, well, we saw what happened.

At his next stop he had a defense that was already pretty good. when he had to recruit his own guys the pattern continued.

At Duke he is playing with Mike Elko's players. It remains to be seen how it plays out but i think we all know where this is headed.

GO CANES!!!!
In the age of portal and NIL is the last portion of your comment correct?

Have you ever had a septic tank drained ? If you’re not familiar with the process, allow me to share with you what that looks like. All the broken down 💩 water and other stuff is sucked out with a vac truck, once this happens, there is a concentration of a slimy, thick sludge left in the tank, that is what Manny is.

I don't dislike Manny, but the essence of the posts above about him sucking once the talent has evaporated are spot on.

Season 1 Gun GIF
Lucky or brilliant?

Well he was smart enough to lose 3 games to teams that didn’t count for conference losses….😜

GO CANES!!!!

9-3 with a bowl loss in year 1, 7-5 in year 2.

strategically lucky

If there’s any brilliance at play, it’s knowing where to go to prop him back up in the future; after he completes his cycle of ******* up what he walked into and either leaves or gets fired.

Which makes sense…given the career choice of Sr.

He went 7-5. Idk if his defensive scheme has changed but if not then he's gonna get exposed badly next year too, it always happens in year 3

he has been playing with Mike Elko's team

just like at Miami he was playing with Mark Richt's team the first two years.

then what happens in year three
