There is a reason why he wasn't a head coach before this job. He's a nice little defensive coordinator with a gimmick happy scheme that performs well in metrics that do not matter to success in college football. His defense gets lot of sacks, TFL, and can benefit from turnovers (a luck based stat), but his defenses have more holes than swiss cheese.

As a head coach, his hires were dollar store nonsense. I could assemble a better staff on the same budget and I'm a dude posting on a message board.

The people who run this program are an embarassment. They could have had butch 4 years ago, could have had Mario last year. We got stuck wifh a fan who coaches defense like he’s playing madden

Considering we are not too far removed from Golden’s band of coaches that says a lot and is crazy to say the least

You would that better teams could have been in this bowl game rather then Miami given us a horrible bowl game against, fire Manny Diaz got only got the job thru his corrupt father's political connections, Manny thinks by firing coaches around him and putting knowledgeable coaches around him to advise him and make him look like a good administrator is going to do the job, Manny wake up this is not corrupt mayor politics you actually have to know the game of football to be able to coach it, you cannot fake till you make it Manny, maybe he made money by Miami loosing on the side.
